[spoiler]  Once you beat Venom for the first time, you see a cutscene where Spider-Man gets pounded and New Goblin sees it on the news. You're then in control of New Goblin and you race to the building and are greeted with another cutscene and then a battle with Sandman while you control New Goblin. After that you're back in control of Spider-Man and you have to finish off Venom with a short beating and a QTE event [/spoiler]
