I'm a little frustrated because I've been giving the game a chance, and I'm not having any fun with it. Those tank controls are ridiculously clunky and are just a pain to maneuver. There is no fear factor to the game, and all of the challenge is derived from the fact that the player has to fight with the controls to get anything done. So I ask any fans of this game, what exactly do you like about it?

I don't have a current gen console so I can't say much, but those tank controls never bothered me in RE4. If you thought those tank controls were difficult, wait until you try it on static cameras in the pre-RE4 titles. I'll have to say that RE5 doesn't look as exciting as RE4.

It has a lot of replay. I clocked in 65 hrs and completed the game over 14 times.

It's a bunch of fun to me. I like the graphics, the presentation is done well, I think the voice acting is solid all-around, the story is well executed imo and a lot of the scenarios that the game puts you in are fun to play and can be tense. Mercenaries mode is a lot of fun to play as well. I love a good score challenge and I especially enjoy when a game lets you test your skill at it, which Mercs offers in spades. The controls aren't run and gun but none of the enemies require run and gun and none of the gameplay is built as if you can run and gun. If you're fighting the controls you're probably doing something wrong or approaching it wrong. I don't play too many 3PS and I think that really helped me pick up the controls quickly. Rather than trying to make it play like something else and being mad that it didn't, I just figured, "this is how the game controls," and never gave it more thought than that.

I really liked it but I feel the strong reliance on Co-OP killed it a litle bit for me. YOur always having a partner to save you from something that you should be able to break free from sense your a giant bodybuilder looking guy and Leon from Re 4 was able to much more. Then having a Cpu partner on Pro Mode was a pain she was holding me back and I idnt really want to find a game on XBX live.

Well it certainly isn't a good Resident Evil game, but it's still great if you take it by itself. It's not scary anymore but it's just as tense as RE4.

It has plenty of boulder-punching.

I thought it was a great game, it was just following an utterly brilliant game in RE4. Also it's way to damn bright for a RE game. If you look at it (which is what I had to do) as a "stand alone game" as opposed to part of the RE brand it has good gameplay, great graphics, decent lengthy story, and is challenging on the higher setting. Pretty much what I ask for in a game.

It's like RE4, which is one of the best games of all time. dvader654

It's like RE4, except it killed the sense of fear and isolation by setting the game in broad daylight and shifting to a co-op-focused gameplay experience. RE5 is a good game on it own merits, but it's a shame that it lost that balance between survival horror and action game that RE4 really had down.

Fun game, and the controls restrict movement increasing fear.. Nowhere near quality of the originals..
