a normal version of a game and its platinum version? (Appart from the platinum version being a bit more expencive).

Here's an example. Go on play.com and look for ratchet and clank up your arsenal on the ps2 andyou'll find a normal version and a platinum version.

Indeed. A Platinum Hits version of a game means that said game sold over 400K units, and now can be sold at a lower price. Is there a thing that wikipedia doesn't have an article of?

This line is not to be confused with Limited/Special Edition games, which typically include extra content (even though the quality of said content can vary) and cost more than the regular version.

Yeah, when a game becomes a Platinum version it just means it has sold a certain number of copies, in this case said number is 400K. It's just like an album going platinum after it sells so many copies, but you never see games getting the credit they deserve and being labeled as double or even triple-platinum games, even if they did sell 800k or 1.2 million copies :(
