The last one for me was Warhammer 40K: Gladius. Fun game, even though I suck at strategy games.
Just finished Kingdoms of Amalur. Vanilla version. I think I started playing this in 2014, but it got lost in the shuffle when my kids were born. Decided to pick it back up and b-line toward the end boss. Great game. Shame about all the drama surrounding it. Could have been a cool franchise.
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order... and really enjoyed it (even though I'm not that big of a Star Wars fan).
Suppose I can update my progress and state Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX. On my third run too. Had this one preordered over a year ago.
I think it's a very faithful remake of the original classic, maybe too faithful seeing as the controls could be tighter (something SEGA commonly had trouble with in platformers), and level design could very much be improved seeing quite a few the levels are uninspiring and monotonous; however they decided to leave it faithfully which I respect.
DX does add a lot of new content though, and the new artstyle I think is drop-dead-gorgeous!
Despite my criticisms to level design and controls being loose, still recommend Alex Kidd IMWDX to any platfomer fan. Does things other platformers simply do not, and think it's an enjoyable/ challenging game with a lot of hidden secrets.
It is no Sonic Mania or Streets of Rage 4, though I think it brings Alex Kidd back with style and faithfulness 7/10.
*On the SEGA IP note. Have noticed SEGA logo is not on this game in any manner, not even publisher. So did SEGA sell the licence of Alex Kidd? very strange.
These kinds of reviews are really only useful if you're interested in the casual side of the game -- campaign and skirmishes -- and if we're being honest here (as opposed to pre-order evangelists) then the PC Gamer and the PC Invasion (in particular) pieces are the fairest so far. Read them all the way through instead of basing your decision on the score like an illiterate pleb or you'll deserve whatever you get. The other reviews I read (only read English ones) the journalists didn't even properly research the game and they're talking out their asses.
On the other hand if you're interested in the competitive/multiplayer side of the game then these reviews are pretty useless. Go look through the Steam reviews to find someone who's reviewing from this perspective, or better yet watch some pro streams and VODs and make up your own mind. AoA deserves that much from you at least. Also realize that it's early days and there's no telling how the MP will mature over time, though in my worthless opinion the current indicators augur well.
Wait and see... i'll try to update with the most serious sites https://best-minecraft-servers.co/ i know about. please do the same with your best and respected sites.
Disgaea 6, but it's still going. A new act started after the credit roll. I call a game 'beaten' though, every time I see a credit roll .
I've been hitting narrative VR games lately for something different. I finally got around to playing through Dead Secret, and then moved onto the sequel Dead Secret: Circle. Neither are amazing (especially the first Dead Secret which really shows its age compared to modern VR games) but they were fun mystery diversions. Now I'm going through Wilson's Heart which is a more modern and horror-themed narrative VR game (Peter Weller is the voice of your character).
As for regular gaming I'm replaying Death Standing as my "wind down for the evening with something meditative" game but I'm only around Chapter 3 so it'll be a bit before I'm through that all the way again.
I started The Last Guardian in June of 2018 and finished that save file on May 8th. Took such a long break partly because I got tired of dealing with the creature's AI and had too many distractions. I'm glad I gave it another shot. In spite of my problems with the game and in spite of being the weakest of Ueda's trilogy, it's still a good, simple (but expensive) adventure game, the kind that Sony would never, ever, EVER greenlight now.
Also one of the few games that sizes subtitles adequately. Most subs in games are teeny, which makes more sense in a PC game viewed on a monitor.
They just need to be a little higher up. Narrations are italicized, as is the norm in movies.
Just beat Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart last week, I just about have the platinum trophy for it now too.
Oh what you have remembered.... wordfeud woorden was the last game I lost badly. Who will love to play this game. http://easywordunscrambler.com/wordfeud-helper/
Just beat Metal Gear Solid 2 again (for the...8th time? or more..) and Narita Boy for the first time. Both amazing games that absolutely don't concern themselves with mainstream trends, having a decipherable narrative, or just generally what anyone else thinks about them. Games that go their own way, all the way, and I really respect that. Could use more such games these days..
The Darkness II on PS3. I finally got around to it because I checked out a collection of the Darkness comics from my library and remembered I still needed to play it.
