I know some of this will be dependent on how old you were when you played (said) game, but what is the game that still creeps you out to think of playing it?

For me, Resident Evil Code Veronica on the Dreamcast just creeped me out. It was a blend of awesome graphics, spooky mood, and amazing surround sound. I used to play it in the dark when I was home alone and just drive myself crazy.

The original Manhunt.

the game wasn't scary, it was borderline disturbing.

Darkman2007

Haha, that game is awesome. I agree disturbing, but a great stealth game nonetheless.

For me it would be the first Silent Hill. Staying up late at night playing that game definitely gave me the creeps.

For me, it's a close tie between: Link: The Faces of Evil, Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon and Zelda's Adventure.

I have to go with either Big Rigs, Superman 64, Dead or Alive Extreme Volleyball. (for various reasons) ;)

The original F.E.A.R

sonic_spark

I see a lot of people mention the original F.E.A.R. being really scary, but I didn't find it scary, to be honest. It was slightly creepy at times, but the further you got in the game it was just the norm. Still a great game though! :) For me, it would probably have to be Resident Evil 2. I used to get creeped out so much at a lot of points in that game, including these moments: When the zombies crash through the window after you go back downstairs not long after entering the RCPD Being in the same carriage as the boss and any time Mr. X showed up. The ones that stand out the most includes when he climbs up to the top and over the barrier, and walks in to you to force you back in to a wall and when you get all of the flames going, leave the room, and he crashes through that wall. Brr... Yeah, I would probably have to say RE2. Nemesis on RE3 is quite creepy too and it's not a legacy game, but the original Condemned (not finished it, unfornately, will have to) was creepy too! :P

Twisted Metal Black. It was probably the first game i played that was even remotely scary, after only playing kiddie games and the older Twisted metals on Playstation, along with having much improved graphics over anything i have seen before, being my first PS2 game. By the time I played Silent hill and Resident Evil, and all those horror games I was too old.

late 90s, Resident Evil on the original playstation, dark room,

next I'd put FEAR or Doom3 as a close 2nd. the Suffering (on xbox) was kinda scary too.

Silent hill III or IV don't really remember exactly which one Stopped at the first level, my heart couldn't take it. As for a game that scared me the most that i actually kept on playing Dead Island, in the beginning gave me numerous heart attacks after a while not so often anymore lol. Silent hill i just couldn't keep playing.

I had that experience with Doom , which I came out when I was about 5 , it was kinda creepy, simply due to the monsters and blood, though I thought the game was great.

The 7th Guest is cheesy, The 11th. Hour (It's sequel) however is creepy and disturbing. And the puzzles are much harder too XD

To be honest, this is very hard to answer as nothing media-wise has ever really scared or even startled me (games, movies, books, anything really). But there is one game I always found very eerie and left a lingering feeling inside me as if I was being watched, that game is Clock Tower on the SNES. Don't think I've ever had an experience quite like that. I love it.

I haven't played any scary games recently but from the ones I have played, I would have to say Fatal frame, best with the lights out and all sounds off except for the game itself.
