I want you to tell me a thing, a detail or anything that you didn't like in Fallout 4.
Any reasons that would make the game less awesome.
I know the good stuff, but i don't know the bad stuff.
The story didn;t really grab me.... then again I have 300 hours played and I didn't actually complete the story. I got out of the vault and said 'oh well I guess my son i probably dead' and proceeded to build a bunch of settlements and become overpowered.
So I guess I really liked the rest of it and that fact didn't make the game any worse for me.
As pyro said, the story wasn't very engaging in addition to the very flawed settlement aspect of it. Apart from that, it was ok.
Lol dude, just play the game and see what you like and don't like it for yourself. How much feedback do you need before you decide to get it? No need for a topic for every question you have on the game.
I'll kinda answer this anyway. I don't have any huge issues with the game, but many don't seem to like the simplified dialogue system. I also think some weapons and perks make the game a bit unbalanced. There aren't any skills to level up, which is kinda weird for an RPG, just your overall level. And power armor makes not wearing power armor seem useless.
Fallout 4 is an awesome game. My favorite aspect is probably the settlement base building. I'm not sure what the hell is wrong with all of the people that complain about it. It's some of the best base building from a creative standpoint I know of. I reject the hive-mind opinions of the internet to most things pertaining to video games. The game was a whole lot of fun for me.
The faction quests, specifically the radiant quests, which is just like in Skyrim. They're a bunch of crappy small quests and are go to a random location, find item x or kill enemy y. In older games from Bethesda like Morrowind and Oblivion, the factions had a large number of actual quests for each faction.
The other thing I don't like is it seems that the settlements get attacked every couple of minutes. The settlement building I didn't mind, but I wish it would have led to something like having actual NPCs move in and give you missions.
@SoNin360:
You can't tell much from a trailer unless you ask some questions before you buy it.
I'm one of the guys who is not convinced about how good Fallout 4 is. That's why i am asking too many questions.
Because i give a lot of second chances about this game cause i am a post-apocalyptic guy who likes nuclear environments, just like Metro 2033. No one here is forced to answer to my questions, but by they way i see it you will eventually answer my questions cause you are obviously a Fallout lover.
In a nutshell i want you to convince me buy this game.
For a guy who likes Metro 2033 and STALKER, which things in Fallout 4 would attract me the most. ?
Terrible visuals given the budget (or possible budget) behind the game. Worse, the art direction is not so great; yeah, I know it's a radiated wasteland, but limiting your color pallet to brown and grey and every variation of those two colors is really fugly (that's hyperbole, but seriously the game is drab).
Story is not all that good, especially compared to Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. Fortunately it has a lot of good and lengthy side quests.
Voice acting is god awful, but that is to be expected from a Bethesda game of this nature.
it is mainly the lack of enjoyable quests. Factions have very few storylines independent of the main story and overall there are less scripted quests to wander upon in the open world. Really, it seems like they just let their radiant quest system do all the work for them, rather than developing meaningful content. There are also fewer factions. So i can be a minuteman and establish supply chains, but why can't I become a raider and assign raiding parties to bring me tribute? Overall the game feels kind of phoned in.
I'm also pretty annoyed that melee is so bad. I mean, it's like everyone complained about Skyrim's combat and Bethesda was like "you think that's bad? Well how bout this!" And that's a shame because I want to go SM Stirling style and wander the wastes with a sword. This brings to mind some minor gripes, too, like the ability to see my equipped weapons sheathed, because what good is a sword if you can't walk around with it slung across your back? It's just, they put all their effort into empty space and there's nothing left for those little touches that really bring a world to life.
Useless settlers, and having to babysit your settlements because they get constantly attacked.
Minutemen. Useless bunch of whiners. The worst faction in the game. These days, I just circle around Concord so the minutemen remain untriggered thru the whole game. Let them rot in the museum!
That's all.

Don't you build defenses and arm your settlers? I usually give tasks to all the settlers such as farming/harvesting, store clerks, leading caravans along the supply lines, and guard duty. I also arm them to the teeth.
