Illusoria is the worst game I ever played.

They selled the game as a very hard game, but actually is a totally Sh**t game which says that the game is difficult because the controls are totally broken.

On the other hand the animation has different sizes in the character... Is reaaaally bad.

I would love to add Hatred and Yandere Simulator but (un)fortunately I never played them.

Worst indie game I ever played is Huniepop. It is the only game that I unceremoniously removed from my Steam account without any refund.

Worst game from big studio is Final Fantasy XV. Not just abandoning the turn-based battle for button-mashing action one, it also plagued with too many product placements, unfunny homoerotic jokes(that just plain insulting to gays and straight men alike), lack of permanent playable characters, vast empty space with nothing in it, too many shitty mobile spinoffs, etc.

I dont think anyone is going to believe this but its true.

The game I was least satisfied with that I bought was Fallout 3 with STALKER being a close second, maybe Archeage.

never the less those three for sure

I usually look at the good and the bad in games equally. And while I can name some poorly designed and unpleasant games; for this particular subject "Worst" is the same as claiming "Best". It's giving a bias claim on what is, or isn't higher or lower quality. I prefer the terms good/ quality or bad/ garbage_

What I can state however is Superman 64 is a fitting game for this thread

Truly garbage. If a game equally terrible exists? I'm glad I never played it.

The Witcher 3.

No game before or since has angered me so much. In just the first 5 minutes of play I had about 10 or more points that made this game, for me one of the most frustrating experiences ever. I lasted about 30 minutes before taking to the internet to get banned from message boards for not dropping my knickers for it like a good brain dead consumer of shiny things with boobs stuck onto them.

It just angers me in every conceivable way.

DarkSiders 2. The game is just unplabyable because of the terrible camera. The action itself is not bad at all, but everything goes down with the camera the ruins everything.

@RSM-HQ: That game has gave more more laughs than other Nintendo Exclusive games. So in a way it's the best Exclusive that Nintendo ever had.

Edit: Also Rocksteady should make the next one.(Superman 65)

I suppose if you went in knowing it was garbage, seeing glitches would be funny like flying NPCs in Bethesda games. However then trying to play the game itself is terrible/ similar with un-patched Bethesda games. What I'm stating is it's a bad game, even if somethings can crack a smile; and that reflects whether you dislike what first party Nintendo offer or not.

Though if you don't like Nintendos Mario, Kirby, or Zelda? That's fine, but even if I ignored them, I would personally have more fun with D00M 64 anyway. I consider that the best N64 game made.

Superman 64 is like eating cement. Someone will find it funny, but you're going to feel your life waste-away in the process

(terrible analogy I know, but still better than Superman 64)

Superman 64 is a good meme, I'll give it that. Let's never forget how poorly made games have been in the past. Way before a select few in the community assumed micro-transactions, breast physics, and QTEs killed the gaming industry.

It's even more funny when you find out Superman 64 did not have a rushed development (two years was average in 1997). Had no funding issues. And a somewhat reliable developer that's been making games since 1988 (Titus Interactive)

@RSM-HQ: I've heard the director of that game blamed Warner Bros and DC Comics for that game. Since they were forcing the developers to change stuff(Like turning the city into a virtual world) and they didn't let them do whatever they wanted with the game.

@dorog1995: Usually the result with poorly made games. Top of the ladder Business Men always assume they have a better idea at handling all situations, even in areas they don't.

When things go bad it usually results in the studios being let-go though. And not the actual people who damaged the project.

Wouldn't surprise me if who/whomever made the strange Superman 64 choices at Warner Brothers, was the same people who thought lootboxes in Shadow of War was a good idea.

Good lord that game. Being attacked by a monster near a lake or river and seeing your guys walk into the water and drown trying to get into position for the battle.

The Last of Us on the ps3. Perhaps you’ve heard of it? As a videogame, I thought it stunk. The zombies were boring to fight, the weapons with barely any ammo was a chore (no boxes of bullets in America?!?), the qte’s are the worst, and crafting is never enjoyable. I turned it off midway through and continued to watch the story on YouTube - skipping most of the tedious gameplay. And don’t even get me started on the multiplayer which turned into a crawling simulator.

Guild Wars on the PC was a wreck. Coming from WoW spoiled me. Nothing about GW felt MMOish. People congregated in a hub, but you couldn’t venture anywhere in the wild. It was all instances with a few randoms with little to no success.

Socom 4 on the ps3. Didn’t feel anything like previous entries and it wasn’t good.

Earthbound on the snes. I had heard many people rave about this game so I thought, why not? But it’s not much more than a turn based RPG. You take 4 steps and you’re forced into yet another battle you just encountered. After the tenth fight and you’ve barely moved, it gets old fast.

@hrt_rulz01: I think if you like well told quests and characters The Witcher III does a very good job. Suppose it also succeeds for sandbox fans as well, being a big, colorful, and rich world.

If you wanted deep engaging systems, tight inputs, clever level design, and fluid combat however; I don't think the game is very strong in that area. The Witcher III is an all round package of ideas, that best captures characters and motive, if you don't care for those things I can see why someone dislikes it.

Worst game ever however, is without-question @Jackamomo baiting an extended argument against TW3.

Either way I'm intrigued with Cyberpunk 2077, and this is from someone who never finished The Witcher III.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. I'm sure it's inherently a great game. Behavior Interactive's port for PS3 is not. The game's a full-fledged catalogue of every conceivable snag, bug and glitch to ever pop up in a videogame, making the PS3 version borderline unplayable.

Interesting choice. I loved the game, but it was the PC version. I have heard many bad things about the 360/PS3 versions, especially frame drops. Guess last gen couldn't handle it...

My pick would have to be GTA 4 (PC) for somewhat similar reasons. It was just a technical mess of a port, having horrible performance no matter the hardware power. I hear it got better, but not great, after a few patches, though. However, I also found the characters very grating, world bland, and missions dull and repetitive so I lost interest before they released. I know part of the fun with GTA games is just dicking around and making your own fun, but with all the performance and control issues on PC.... the fun just wasn't there for me. Plus it had GFWL as DRM AND Rockstar's Social Club crap. Yuck.

Well, Mario Kart SNES comes to mind when I think about controls that I find difficult. It’s not a bad game though. (Does take time getting used to the 2d graphics.)

Maybe the controls for that game were perfect back in the day. I might just be used to playing the newer MK games with the joysticks instead of D-pads.

But, as for a game that I’ve come to dislike...Brave: Search for Spirit Dancer. I was impressed by it as a kid but upon revisiting the game last year I found it to be garbage.

It controls fine but the story is generic and the characters aren’t memorable at all. (Doesn’t have a very big following either I don’t think.) Also got ported onto the Wii with some minor changes.

The game does have collectables of some sort but from memory you need to go around each world finding them until you feel a rumble from your controller signalling for you to dig a collectible up. Pretty tedious process and seeing as imo the game has no replay value whatsoever it’s fairly pointless.

It’s a short game, and it’s not very challenging at all. Not to say you might not like it though. :)

Rise of the Robots on the mega drive. Was so hyped for that game. Looked really cool with really good graphics but man did that game blow chunks. Glad I only rented it at the time.
