What is your favorite Final Fantasy?

Since I've only played 7, 8 and 9, it was probably 8 even though I liked 9 very much.

I think 12 is the best, but i really enjoyed them all

FFX. It was epic. The first console RPG I ever played, and it was the game that got me hooked on RPGs in general.

With me all of FF games are excellent, it's hard to figure what is the best, but i think FF9 is a little bit better than the other

Not for the story line or anything but I LOVED 12 for the the gameplay. Im not a particular fan of Turn Based RPGs and the Action RPG elements in 12 was a nice surprise for me.

FFVI by far............the themes and stortline transcends videogames and the two maincharacters (Terra and Celes) are some of the best, if not the, characters in the series.

FFIX is my favorite...it has the best music in the series in my opinion as well as some of the coolest environments such as burmecia, Treno, Cleyra, and Ipsen's Castle. I have played all FFs from I-XII and I must say I have loved all of them with the exception of III (***) and XII (alothough I did still have fun playing XII).

Ditto except it was my 2nd rpg that I finished.

I do admit it not having an engagaing battle system. I remember leaving it on during boss fights then coming back after a break to find my guys just as pumped to fight as ever. But the story is incredible, Iv'e yet to play game that even comes close. Its more like an interactive movie with endless hours of entertainment.

I have ff12 and really should go back to it but Im at the point all my characters are wearing the same equipment using the same skills just like clones. All I do is run thru enemies and try to chain. The story started off good but now Im at the point where Im just wondering thru many different barren lands with nothing to make me continue except to get to my destination.

I also have ff7 but I just dont get why my friends obssess over its characters and story, but I'll revisit it soon to try and understand.

I really liked 6, 7, and 8. It was the pinnacle of the series. If I have to pick one I will go with 8.

IX followed very closely by VIII. It's hard for me, but I feel IX just edged out VIII.

Final Fantasy IX is my personal favorite. It was the first RPG I played excluding The Shining Force (SRPG). There is a certain charm to it that I haven't felt in the other Final Fantasies I've played. Still, VI and VII were great games that are worth playing.

Either Final Fantasy Ten or Final Fantasy Eleven.

FF12.
