All Ghillied Up is my favorite and probably the most memorable mission in COD4.
What is yours?
SHOOT ME IN THE FACE! IN THE FAAAAAAAACE! DO IT! Not the KNEE, not the ARM, not the SPINE - FACE!
I NOTICE YOU HAVEN'T SHOT ME IN THE FACE! CURIOUS AS TO WHY! Maybe you're weighing the moral pros and cons but let me assure you that OH MY GOD SHOOT ME IN THE GODDAMNED FACE!! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?!
tough question! (and good choice!).
a few off the top of my head:
Two favourites of mine come from the 2008 Ninja Gaiden II.
- The Flying Fortress Daedalus love the music and its a very cool level to fight in thematically
- Poisoned Blood great level thematically with cool enemies and very cool boss encounters

Lmao! I loved this!
For me I would have to say the Badass Crater of Badassitude! Borderlands 2!
Splinter Cell Blacklist also had a few I loved.
The main ones that come to mind are:
...there's definitely more, but these are all I can think of right now.
Something that comes to mind is certain parts in the F.E.A.R expansions where you were told that troops would be storming your position soon and you had to prepare with those cool gun turret things that could stick onto walls.
Also, there was something about those base-invasion missions in the early xcom games.
Come to think of it, what those two scenarios have in common is the enemy coming to you rather than you coming to the enemy.
Tough question! Some of my favorites are Gaur Plain in Xenoblade, Lethal Lava Land in Super Mario 64, the bonus area in Symphony of the Night, the King K Rool battle in Donkey Kong Country 2, the Kefka battle in Final Fantasy VI, facing Red in Pokemon Gold, the Vergil battle in Devil May Cry 3, the mine cart levels in Donkey Kong Country, the nightclub in Sly 2, the observatory in Metroid Prime, the castle in Resident Evil 4, and Spark Man's stage in Mega Man 3.
Not sure what mission it is, but the one in Crysis where you storm the enemy base with the gas station in it. It's fairly early- to mid-game.
I just love it because it's a large map, with a central area (small village with gas station, some structures), and leading up to it you're picking off patrols in the woods, making you're way to this base, and there's a radar station you can get to and recon the whole area before choosing your path into the base. You then find there's more than a few ways in, in particular:
storm the beach, but watch out for mines
just go in through the front entrance (yawn, boring run n' gun)
sneak around the back, see a pretty waterfall, and stealth the thing by flanking them
snipe them, then blow up the gas station when they get wind of you, then storm in or stealth in during the panic.
iirc once you get inside, there's a central building with the objective and once you do it, a tank shows up. So then you get to take that out and some reinforcements or you can just run away I think. It is one of my more memorable gaming moments ever; Crysis is honestly one of my favorite games, they give the player so much freedom it is a beautiful game both from a gameplay and level design standpoint and technical standpoint.
My second favorite would probably be the Liberty Island mission in Deus Ex, which is funny because it is A.) the first mission of Deus Ex, and B.) the one that turns people off. It is formulaic, but at the time it was one of the most open-ended thing I have ever experienced, offering you so many objectives, side missions, routes, and tactical options. It really opened my eyes to what gaming could offer, and in particular it sort of set the tempo for the rest of what is arguably my favorite game of all time.
I kind get why some people like the silent cartographer, but I found it to be overrated. I vastly prefer assault on the control room to. It just felt so intense and really long to me while silent cartohrapher feels short.
This is an incredibly hard question, here are a few that come to mind but this does not even begin to scratch the surface:
1) The first time you meet yoshi in super mario world
2) Mike Tyson
3) the rotating room from super castlevania 4(although I could fill this list with almost every level from that game, so much cool stuff)
4) Vega (claw) stage from the original street fighter 2, loved the music and the fact that in CE vega would climb the fence as opposed to wall jumping.
5) world 6 in nes Ninja Gaiden (which could also be a least favorite depending on the mood I am in)
6) the raft level from super ghouls n ghosts, I loved how the sea creatures stared at you before they came in to attack you
7) the bike/helicopter stage from Contra 3, that level exemplifies why contra 3 is the greatest shooter of all time
8) air man stage from mega man 2, dont know why this stage stands out to me among all others.
9) POPCORN from bubble bobble, inside joke between me and my best friend
10) every level from wings of vii, in particular the last stage stood out as creepy, atmospheric, and harder than you can imagine.
Thats off the top of my head, but I could probably list hundreds more given some time to think about it.
@specialfc:
"The Maw" Halo Combat Evolved
--------------------------------
-Master Chief is flying a busted Banshee towards the wreck of the Pillar of Autumn.
Cortana: "This thing is falling apart!"
Master Chief: "It'll hold."
Cortana: "We're not gonna make it!"
Master Chief: "We'll make it."
Cortana: "Pull up! PULL UP!!!"
-!BOOM! The Banshee crashes.
Cortana: "You did that on purpose. Didn't you?"
-Master Chief lifts himself up to entry point.

Awww....the memories! ?
The rock band stage in Alan Wake, if I remember it was in the middle of some kind of corn field surrounded by pyrotechnics and you had to fend off waves of nasties for a time.
I remember just having a blast with that, and with the rest of the game. Really enjoyed Alan Wake, I think it's totally underrated.
Some ones that leap to mind are as follows:
The Forever Train from star Fox 64 (Train boss fight+ Tank+ amazing explosive finale= win)
Bottom of the Well from Ocarina of Time (this was some dude's basement, and also where the town got its water... the horror fan in me loves it)
Stone Tower Temple from Majora's Mask (I loved everything about Ikana and Stone Tower was the right mix of classic dungeon stuff with a touch of creepy)
The Mine Cart sequence from RE4
The extra dungeon from Etrian Odyssey IV (again, good mix of freaky elements and traditional dungeon stuff)
Just to name a few, those were the ones that immediately came to mind.
Not sure what mission it is, but the one in Crysis where you storm the enemy base with the gas station in it. It's fairly early- to mid-game.
it's called recovery i think. i screen shotted it in my post. it's really early on in the game. it was the mission when it hit home just how good crysis was. when you realise you're playing something really special. there's little to nothing that's comparable that i can think of. maybe some missions in mgsv offer a similar vibe / scenario but none are as memorable
This is a great question, but I'm not even sure. I can think of a few though:
Hog wild And bridge to nowhere in the first crash game
Psycho mantis in mgs(scared the hell out of me as a kid, I really though he had taken over my ps1)
The lost valleys(tomb raider 1/anniversary)
The entire earthworm Jim game on mega drive.
The exchange mission in gta3 where you kill catalina and rescue Maria was one of my faves, I hated her so was happy to see her gone.
Medal of honour Omaha beach/ D day mission
Oooooh! I got another favorite level!!!
'Member the Tourian Sector in Super Metroid where you fought Mother Brain's last form and the Metroid baby saves you when you're about to die? And then you get the Hyper beam from its body?
That quest in GTA V where you plant a bomb in the cell phone prototype and then call the company boss while he is presenting it live on TV. Too bad Steve Jobs didn't live to see it.

This is spoilers but....
The ending to dark souls 3 with the fight being similar to the first dark souls 1 as well as the music to the Gwyn fight at the end coming back in the second round was one of the most beautiful moments I have ever played in a game. When devs bring back memories from an older game it always gets to me like the human microwave part in mgs4.
Uncharted 2 train level
The starting level of prince of Persia 1989
Uncharted 3 entire ship level
Uncharted 4 Madagascar action set piece
Cod black ops 2 when you play as the bad guy and kill everyone with a knife and a shotgun.
AC syndicate tower of London and the asylum
Probably more,but I can't remember now.
I love to play video games especially to compete with my friends. Have created many levels in Fallout 4 PC game. It is an open world action role-playing video game where the player completes various quests and acquires experience points to level up their character. It's an amazing video game, you must try.
