When I get my new desktop, I'm totally buying another copy through Steam. The retail version I got would never boot properly and StarForce killed both my DVD ROM and as a result my STALKER disc. I loved the demo, and wish I could have played the full game.
I have to say, my favourite game to snipe in was Call of Duty. Not United Offensive where sniping accuracy was nerfed to the point that made it almost useless, but in Call of Duty where my name was "Vasilli Zaitsev" and people would want my ability to take out anyone with the Mosin sniper rifle on their team.
1. 100% open world roam 2. destructible environment 3. various tactical possibilities ( Set a remote explosive behind outpost, set camp in front of out post, detonate, pick em off ) 4. The sheer beauty of watching over a fishing village as the sun rises
I'm sure this will come across as a bit wrong but I like it in GTA4. Take your sniper rifle, get in the car, drive to the destination, walk to the snipe point, get in position and..... well you know the rest. Believe it or not videogames haven't turned me into a psychopath in real life.
