Here's mine.

Any console where installing the games or patching them is a thing, completely defeats the point.
Regardless of Microsoft doing a 180 on their DRM conditions, don't forget that they TRIED.
And the Amstrad was just basically a CPC6128 without a keyboard; also pointless.
I find it amusing to see that all but 1 post lists at least one console that has not even released yet, and even if they were released, they do not belong in legacy platform discussions. Stinger78
Yeah but we're Legacy gamers and hate latest-gen. So it counts when it's derogatory :)
- XB1
- PS4
- PS3
- X360
- Amstrad GX4000

I think you have the wrong idea of current gen gaming, not all games need to be installed on the console, some do partially, some don't require it at all. And believe me, I'm all for the pratical way consoles were from the 6th gen back, but you're missing out on LOTS of great experiences by neglecting the PS3 and 360 for something as simple as a 2-5 minute partial installation or a couple second patch. I do see your point, but I think you should give current gen a better chance. And I'm with Stinger, first those consoles aren't even Legacy, two the One and the PS4 weren't even released yet, y'all are just being short sighted by listing them right off the bat. Anyway, all I can think of that I'd consider actually bad would be the Hyperscan.I find it amusing to see that all but 1 post lists at least one console that has not even released yet, and even if they were released, they do not belong in legacy platform discussions. Then there's the post with 2 current-gen consoles. Brilliant. As far as 5 systems I don't like, or I like the least, well I can't really list any I've actually hated, as there's a reason I bought each one I have.Stinger78
Beat me to it. How can anyone judge a console they haven't even played yet?

By what it negatively promises.
1. Philips CDi
2. Sega 32X
3. Atari Jaguar CD
4. Atari Jaguar
5. XBOX 360 (based almost entirely on the hardware; my $400 Elite went RRoD a little over a year after buying it brand new, thats F$#@ed up. . .)
1. Virtual Boy The only Nintendo console or Hamdheld I have never bothered with.
2. Atari Jaguar
3. 3DO
4. CD-i
5. Intellivision
These are my picks since I passed up on owning them. The Virtual Boy is my worst since I kinda like Nintendo a whole lot. But this Console? or Handheld? is something I could have bought for $15.00 with 5 games but I passed on this deal. Even which the offical carry case thrown in. And a extra controller? Which is not needed as this is 1 played only Videogame "portable"
I like how people are listing things like the XBox and the Wii and not things like the Apple Pippin.

It's not that surprising that many people haven't even heard of consoles that are complete failures.

Wait, did you just say the Xbox, wii, and 7800 were complete failures? Or are you specifically talking about the Pippin?[QUOTE="Emerald_Warrior"][QUOTE="PannicAtack"]

Wii is the worst mainstream console in the past 10 years.drekula2
Care to explain? It had a lot of shovelware and had a heavily casual userbase, but Ill never understand why it gets bashed so much. It had a lot of awesome titles, both first and third party, and I felt like many games, especially a lot of third party games gave you options to whether you wanted to use the motion controls or not.

You should blame the media for that. Mostly only covering Wii "series" games like Wiiplay and Wiifit, and the fact those games sold a boat load and are cluttering used game shelves doesn't help either. Very few people pay attention to the Gem on the console like Madworld(imo), No More Heroes, and The Last Story. I would wait until the next generation starts. People wills tart going back through the 7th generation libraries and people may change their minds.[QUOTE="drekula2"]Wii is the worst mainstream console in the past 10 years.Shenmue_Jehuty

Im guessing in probably 2 to 4 years certain Wii games will start spiking in value as collectors and people who missed certain titles go back and see that there was actually a lot more to enjoy than they previously thought.
Wii is the worst mainstream console in the past 10 years.drekula2Give it a couple of years, the Wii will be remembered as one of the more underrated consoles in terms of library just like Gamecube was.

I see that happening, too.
just to counter all the hate, I'm going to list some consoles I feel are very underrated: 1. Master System 2. Sega Saturn 3. 3DO 4. Atari Jaguar 5. Neo-geo portablerilpas
Just wondering what you use to decide how good a console is. Because in the Jaguar's case, it's a bad console in nearly every way I decide how to rate a console:
I will give credit where credit is due, though. Despite the small library of games, it did have a few gems in games like Wolfenstein 3-D, Alien vs. Predator, Rayman, and Tempest 2000.
I just wouldn't call it good, or even underrated.
