What mega man games shoud i play in preparation for MM9?

Well since MM9 is going to be 8-bit, you should probably go ahead and play MM 1-6 to get in the proper mentallity. You should also play 8 since it's great as well. You can live without playing 7.

You can get them all cheap too on the Mega Man Anniversary collection for the GC or PS2.

Honestly, you don't NEED to play any of them, it's not really a contiguous story.

Like staindcoldlp said, the anniversary collection is not only a great bargain, but will give you access to all the games.

All I have to say is that you have to at least play Mega Man 2 before you head on over to 9.Yagr_Zero

I'm actually beating all the original Megamans for the first time right now 1-8 in prep for Megaman 9. I'm currently playing Megaman 3, 1 and 2 are Excellent.
