Personally I don't get why you would remake classic games that everyone likes just the way they are. Like why would you remake Doom? It's fine the way it is and if you remade it, it would be completly different expirience. I could understand if the original wasn't all that great, but in my opinion remaking a game like Doom or Super Mario Bros. or any other game considered classic would be like if someone were to remake Ghostbusters. Rerelease to run on newer systems is fine however as long as it doesn't change any aspect of the game except control keys. I just don't think theirs really any reason to remake anything.
I would like to see a remake of Shenmue 1 and 2, they were really good but if Sega was willing to put the effort they can make good remakes and possibly Shenmue 3
The older Resident Evils with high graphics, and the option to control it via RE4 or with the 3rd person fixed camera from the old games. Crappy voice acting optional too of course.
this completely. If it's going to turn out as a different game anyway, just make a new game on that franchise. Don't feed us horsecrap.Personally I don't get why you would remake classic games that everyone likes just the way they are. Like why would you remake Doom? I completely agree. There is absolutely no reason for remakes. If people want to play them, invest in an old system. Generally speaking, most old systems and games are NOT that expensive and easy to get a hold of.Personally I don't get why you would remake classic games that everyone likes just the way they are. Doom 1 & 2.
Tomb Raider II & III like how Tomb Raider I was remade.
Day Of The Tentacle.
Warcraft II with the Starcraft II engine.
Commander Keen 1 - 6.
None.
They need to stop making remakes. For example, all the "Birth" series of Konami in Wiiware, like gradius, contra, castlevania, are "OK" but just feels a bit dull, and a shadow of the great years of the old games.
The gaming industry is suffering the same fate of the Movies, they sink the market with remakes, sequels, re-remakes, alternate realitys, reboots, etc. and a few made it right.
With the games, we have the same franchises but with new adventures and new gameplays, like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, but without feeling bad nostalgia or offensive to us, and also the remakes
Hope videogame industry doesnt turn it like a Hollywood case
