Mine would be a secret achievement in red dead redemption. I saw some chick asking for help near a broken down wagon, I go to help her and get jumped by six dudes. I quickly kill all of them and chase after the chick and lasso the bitch, and drag her around for a while then I come across train tracks and decide to tie her up and dump her on the tracks. Waited for a train, then squish, then *achievement unlocked*. That took me by surprised and genuinely made me chuckle that there was a achievement for dumping a chick on the tracks like an old school villain. That was the best lil secret I found on my own that was memorable to me, how about u?

@Lulu_Lulu: it's an achievement in Red Dead Redemption related to old western movies. And besides, that girl ambushed him

Sims 4.

I logged in one day and found a character named Adel, who looked like a plain blond haired young man, someone who I never noticed before, who was in my friends contacts as a faded character which means he must of died at some point. I didn't think much of it as I suspected my character must of interacted with him at the park while I was playing as someone else or something, although it's strange as deaths don't normally go unnoticed unless it's an NPC elder passing away from age. The weird thing is how he vanished from the contact lists the second time I open the tab, he only appears in the list when I first log in.

It got weird when one of the teenage daughter in the household had a phone call prompt at night while she was sleeping, which after clicking said "Adel wishes to talk to you, is that ok?". I answered it but didn't much of it at the time as it was more annoyance because i wanted them rested before the next day. I wish I payed attention to her reactions while taking the call. I just remember her suddenly getting the sadness moodlet as if she had the gloomy trait, which she didn't, but it lasted on the character for ages as she had to go to school with it on her the next day.

When I finally made space to build a basement into my large, Gothic, Victorian style home, which I did from digging up part of the garden and placing it like an outside entrance storm cellar, I started to decorate it into what was to be my red room for the aspirating photographer in the family. It was when placing stuff down I noticed the room had gained an extra bit of decoration, a large urn containing the ashes of a character named Adel.

When I figured out my first code ever which was for Metroid 1 on NES. I knew about the code Justin Bailey ------ ------ but I was curious and tried it with just half the dashes and surely enough, it worked!

That and when I figured out that if you put an Xbox game in the PS2:

^That should've been the original Xbox Boot screen.

Sawyer from Lost stole Alicia Silverstone's purse in Aerosmith's "Crying" video.

Regarding the Op's question... God, it's been so many years and so many games. Trying to remember which ones I found myself versus learned about from magazines of friends is tough. I think I remember several from MGS1, although those games were LOADED with them. I remember in MGS1 when you were in the vents Master Miller (shhh!) would call you and tell you to follow the rats. If you kept calling him back, I think he went on this longwinded diatribe about the history of the alaskan rat. Also, if you called Mei Ling over and over but refused to save she'd eventually lose her shit and stop talking to you (you could still save, but her response to the call would just be "...").

In MGS3 there were lots of goodies. I went for a zero kill playthrough my first try, which meant tranqing every boss. I got some really awesome camo out of that, including "The End's" camo which was like 100% in grass and regenerated health in sunlight. Every boss you -didn't- kill gave you a unique camo. Also, not a huge easter egg or uncommong discovery but if you have an MGS2 save you dropped in wearing Raiden mask because Kojima likes to troll his fans.

I also remember "The Sorrow's" boss battle where ghosts of everyone you killed. Since I killed nobody, it was pretty empty except for one guy. He was a civilian scientist who was shot by guards who were shooing at me in the facility where you get to disguise yourself. I freaked out, because I thought that meant his death counted against me even though I didn't kill him. Turns out it was fine and I still got zero kills for the playthrough.

Maybe finding the dying soldier in Ocarina of Time. Hmmm... there are so many good ones. Way too many good ones in the Fromsoft games.
