Killer Instinct was a great game. I thought it looked horrible on the SNES though. Super Mario RPG is overrated in my opinion but I might be the lone voice crying out in the wilderness on that one.
My two favorite games from that era were definitely F-Zero and Street Fighter II. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past was also an amazing game.
i own nearly 160 and i still pop them all in from time to time but heres a top 10
1 stunt race fx
2 super mario world
3 dkc series
4 top gear series
5 rock and roll racing
6 tom and jerry
7 tmnt iv turtles in time
8 ren and stimpy time warp
9 no fear racing
10 full throttle racing
and i just got 2 new ones
test drive 2 the dual and goof troop
I'll have to say:
Many of my favorite songs in Midi Format combined with super-responsive controls and perfect track layout and a small dose of RPG elements!
Wow... just Wow!
In alphabetical order from my SNES list (I gave most ofthese games perfect scores 10/10)
1. Boxing Legends of the Ring (10) One of if not my fAvorite boxing game of all time. Fun solo in career mode or with a friend.
2. Breath of Fire (10) The first in the series of my all time favorite RPG titles.
3. Breath of Fire 2 (10) Improved on the irst in many ways, but it is hard to beat perfection so it gets a 10 as well :P
4. Contra III: Alien Wars (10) A perect SNES sequel to an already outstanding NES shooting series.
5. Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball (9.5) This is one of my favorite baseball games (if not my favorite) of all time... it only gets docked .5 because the rosters are for the most part completely fictional (well.... Ken Griffey Jr. is in it... lol)
6. Killer Instinct (10) This is the first vs fighting game I played that perfectly meshed seemless combos, and the narrator is awesome when the combos are pulled off... like KILLER COMBO, and KING COMBO.. :) Also it features pit falls, and a fatality system (of sorts) sound is great... All the characters rock. Rare was king in its day.
7. Super Mario All Stars (10) pretty self explanatory
8. Super Mario World (10) same as above
honorable mentions
The 7th Saga, Batman Returns, Donkey Kong Country, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Mortal Kombat II, NBA Jam Tournament Edition, Plok, Super Mario Kart, TMNT Tournament Fighters, Ys III: Wanderers From Ys, Zombies Ate my Neighbors. Oh, and Bass Masters Classic: Tournament Edition.
Definitely Super Mario World and Super Metroid. I run through Super Metroid about once a year, and my old roommate and I collectively know every secret in SMW.

True story, I got Ken Griffey Jr Baseball when it came out along with a Street and Smith's baseball guide for whatever year that was. I edited every last name in the game. I was on the very last team and boom the power went out. Totally formatted the cartridge. I think I just went in then and did the Pirates and left the rest of the teams alone. If I remember right most of the players had the right numbers, and left/right stats. But there were just enough mistakes and missing players to make it not worth doing again.[QUOTE="WitIsWisdom"]True story, I got Ken Griffey Jr Baseball when it came out along with a Street and Smith's baseball guide for whatever year that was.
