I used to play the hell out of turn based RPGs and fighting games. Now, i cant even look at them as i have lost all interest in those types of games.

Turned based RPG games i believe for me it has to do with my loss of patience. It seems as i have gotten older, my patience seems to decrease. As for fighting games, i never understood how i lost interest in those kind if games, it’s weird. Maybe i am by myself on this, but......

What about you?

Online MP shooters. I used to love games like BF and Team Fortress. I guess I just don't have the time. I'm not interested in playing them anymore.

Open-world RPGs. I haven't lost my interest entirely but the idea of spending a hundred hours in a bland world filled with boring side content really bothers me. Thankfully there are still promising games in this genre that excite me like Cyberpunk 2077 or Bethesda's RPGs.

Real time strategy games.

Feels more like babysitting AI than strategy, unlike turn based ones where you have time to actually do...you know....strategy.

Open world games with heaps of collectables, they cause extreme burnout.

Single player games. I mostly prefer some sort of multiplayer component with others. Presently I’m playing a lot of WoW Classic (mostly to pvp) and PUBG. Single player games tend to be too scripted in gameplay and I bore easily with them.

I want to say "none" because with all genres/ features I like to be open minded, yet that would be a lie in 2020. After a few recent attempts it has to be the popularly mentioned- open world, sandbox designed games.

Far Cry 5 is basically the most generic, streamlined, casual fest one can sum up into a sentence. Can see why Ubi Soft want to re-evaluate how they make games overall. Played this week, and it was painful. After Red Faction: Guerrilla wondered if I'm just playing bad open world games? nope many are just bad by design. Or I'm just fed up with how they all feel like kid-glove games for people with terrible reflexes.

Well I'd say FPS but then again I've never really been into them to start with so, the first thing that comes off the top of my head is open world.

I got around to playing BotW this year and I just couldn't get into it. There's nothing wrong with the game at all. I personally just found it tedious and quite slow.

Off topic but thinking about it now, it just goes to show how much I appreciate Dragon Quest. From the two games I've played, they aren't open world necessarily, but the scope of the maps feel huge. That, and there's an objective at hand. So, in my mind it's good because yes, you can trail off an explore to some degree but there's always a guide.

Rpgs and turn based RPGs. I can’t spend hundreds of hours on a game. Plus the combat is tedious, and the spawning off enemies makes it unbearable.

I think a lot of people can agree and say that Final Fantasy X was the worst when it came to the spawning of enemies. Mi'ihen Highroad was especially tedious from memory.

Just online shooters and online MP in general. I love single player, open-world games cause I can do those at my own time/place without the extraction.

Big open-world games in general... I just find the vast majority of them are filled with too much boring filler and are too empty & repetitive.

Hence why games like Assassin's Creed etc that I enjoyed in the past, are just a turn-off for me now. And this is also the main reason I didn't like Breath of the Wild.

RPGs that have random encounters. When I was younger I had the patience and was able to power through them like FF I-IX, but today? It's a bit of a struggle.

Pretty much this I use to be into MP quite a bit back in the day and even joined a clan we played games like Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Battlefield 2 and CS:S. But great times don't last forever unfortunately the modern MP games got worst and my clan and me lost interest and went are separate ways many many years ago but also the final nail in the coffin would be the rise of loot boxes and microtransactions. I'm just full on into SP games these days MP gaming will always be tainted now with greed and it sucks. I always enjoyed SP games over MP games but now MP gaming for me is officially dead.

FPS games. Not because I've lost interest in the genre. There just aren't any good FPS games being made. Doom Eternal is the only one I've enjoyed recently.

Sure, Bethesda's quest design is mostly lackluster but they do know how to create immersive worlds. I could spend hours exploring every nook and cranny in TES or Fallout, which is something I cannot say for most modern open world RPGs.

Sadly, old-school DnD-style RPG's.

I madly respect and want to love Tyranny, Pillars of Eternity, Divinity: OS 1/2....but they bore me now. Used to be my favorite genre back in the day, but now....I don't know, I think I just want more excitement for my limited time.

Any sports games, very little improvement throughout year to year.

Another is most single player games, not all of them, but the majority. Most open world games, by the way I'm I the only one who don't like Grand Theft Auto games? lol.

I still like most of the games I grew up playing, the open world games with endless side/fetch quests have gotten tiresome though, spending hours doing something requiring little to no skill isn’t satisfying.

Honest to God,I swear I really don't have much disinterest in most most genres besides maybe some parlor , board games and some gambling titles
