The LBP soundtrack always puts me in a good mood!
What about you, GD? What video game soundtracks put you in a good mood?

I always liked ABZU's soundtrack. It's like if PIXAR and Studio Ghibli music producers worked together.
Little Big Planet was amazing, till Sumo Digital got its talentless greasy fingers on the franchise with late Little Big Planet 2 expansions and the awful third entry. LBP2 is one of my favorite games of all time! So it all breaks my lil heart. .
Also worth noting LBP games are being delisted from the PSN Store. Either hints at a remaster, or PlayStation don't want newer gamers aware that Sackfolk use to be in good games.
As for the thread. I love a lot of OSTs in games, Monkey Island games have some delightful jolly music_

I really wish Media Molecule hadn't abandoned the franchise. Dreams ended up being a flop as far as what I can tell.

I'm torn on that logic, I do not like creators to have to 'stick' with a franchise. I just also do not like to see another developer shame its reputation. And Sumo Digital was already a bad developer long before they got around to Little Big Planet.
As for Dreams, I agree. It is/was an ambitious time and money sink for Mm that ultimately just makes ugly ragdoll clay figures. It's a cool concept and on paper looks to be an evolution of the Little Big Planet series, it wasn't and isn't however. Lacking a lot of the charm people enjoyed about those games. I know many creators put hundred of hours into a single creation but most just end up the same and fall apart in the same way.
However I do recommend Tearaway to anyone who enjoyed Little Big Planet, criminally overlooked game.
A lot. 😅
A few of my favourites though are:
- Mega Man 2
- Mega Man X
- Contra III: The Alien Wars
- Super Castlevania IV
- Sparkster
- Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
- Final Fight
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Arcade Game
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time
- Chrono Trigger
- Chrono Cross
- The King of Fighters ‘96
- Blazblue games
I actually feel joy from the dango song in MH: Rise. Each and every time.
You are a happy Japanese child 😄
@RSM-HQ: Rise is overflowing with so much of that typical Capcom charm. I love it!
It is so good! *chef's kiss*, a stellar follow-up to Iceborne
Wish it had a few more actually challenging hunts however. I have not really had my blood stir for any particular hunt in the release game. And at this point I'm now just build making. They're entertaining and adore all the new monsters, they are easy to put down though, even with Apex Rampages. And I feel this will make or break the additions moving forward for post-game.
Tony Hawk and skate games. But as far as original music I’d have to say Final Fantasy.
I agree with Tony Hawk sound tracks. I have songs from their soundtracks in my daily playlist.
Another one I haven't seen mentioned is Halo Wars 2 OST.
