I mean, lego star wars, lego indiana jones, lego batman, lego harry potter, lego pirates of the caribbean.

imo they are all terrible game, what was all the fuzz about them? they are extremely easy, you cant die (I hate games where you cant die, they might as well make you inmune to damage) and the gameplay is boring.

why everyone loves this game?

You can't die in your whatever your favorite games are either. There is no concept of "game over" in today's gaming at all. Checkpoints are so close to eachother that it's like you never really die. Your post makes no sense unless you exclusively play shoot 'em ups (games like Ikaruga) or other traditional arcade games.

Lego games are puzzle games at their core. It doesn't matter if you can't "die" in a puzzle game.

This is like asking why people like Mario or Call of Duty or... whatever, sheesh I'm not going down that road. Did you really make a topic asking why other people like games that you tend to disapprove of?

In any case I've never like the Lego video games either; the ones I've tried were terribly boring. I prefer actual legos.

They're fun games and a nice breather from other games for a short while. For the most part they are pretty easy, but that doesn't stop them from being light hearted fun.

Not every game needs to be some super realistic slapped together yearly shooter rehash. The Lego games have generally good puzzles, and puzzles are a rarity these days due to the amount of shooters.
Given a choice between yet another FPS or a Lego game, I'll take the Lego game.

Who cares if you can't die. You couldn't die in Bioshock either. Severe death penalties in games are, for better or worse, pretty much a thing of the past.

Also, the series is aimed at kids and to that extent it's perfect. Just because something is popular doesn't mean its aimed at everyone.

The only good LEGO games are the Lego Star Wars ones, all the others are a waste of time, seriously.

I like the Lego series. Nice to have games to sit and play with my kids once in a while.

But its different, yeah, technically you cant die permanently in any game, because you wont reach a point where it will say "you are not allowed to continue anymore, buy a new game!" in bioshock for example you could disable vita chambers, I know I did, because that added challenge to the game. in lego star wars you just die and you appear in 1 second, at least if there would be a respawn time or if they would return you to a previous checkpoint ,but no, if you die you inmediatly appear alive again...why the hell do you need a HP system if you are going to revive inmediatly after getting killed, with no penalty at all?

The lego games are great for just tooling around. Plus co-op is fun. Not meant to be serious games. I played lego Star wars 1,2 and lego batman. Mostly for Phucking around tpye of gameplay. Meant as light comedy games. on they serious counterparts. Fun but not very challenging gameplay. I finished lego Batman in one sitting.

lego games are fun. too easy not engaging over the long term. but fun when playing co-op.

I thought Lego Star Wars was cute and fun when I got it years ago for like $10 on the PS2, but now they have it for everything I could care less myself but the franchises they license have to make them some money. Anyhow, it's kind of funny when you think about it, I used to love playing with Legos but I got my brothers hand me downs, never knew how much they were then, but now everything is super expensive, paying $60 for a Lego game now is sooo much cheaper than any interesting Lego project, I saw the Millennium Falcon at Toys R Us going for like a couple hundred dollars, sheesh.

I thought the Lego Star Wars games were fun. "Were" back when the came out when I was like, 10. I did give them a decent score that some might disagree with, but I rate games not just on graphics, sound, etc, but on how fun I had playing it. So I don't really like the Lego games, but I don't rag on them either. I used to play them.
