MS Gundam: Gihren's Greed - Blood of Zeon.
It's the deepest and most engaging strategy game I've seen on consoles.

Eh, that game was too short to be my favorite. Only lasts about 5 hours.
Spyro.
I was young and didnt understand games.
I bought MGS and palyed it like a shooter and got stuck in the first room.

You clearly haven't experienced the 16 bit games. How can you say that Super Mario World, Sonic 3, Shining Force II, Super Metroid, A Link to the Past, Final Fantasy III, Phantasy Star II, Breath of Fire II, Terranigma, Aladdin, Street Fighter II, Killer Instinct, Super R-Type, Gradius III, Rocket Knight Adventure, Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, Bahamut Lagoon, Donkey Kong Country, Mean Bean Machine, Axelay, Secret of Mana, Dragon Quest VI, Chrono Trigger, Mega Man VII, Super Mario Kart, Turtles in Time, Outrun, Pulseman, Chiki Chiki Boys, Ranger X, Earthworm Jim, Dynamite Headdy, Gunstar Heroes, Samurai Shodown, Streets of Rage, Shinobi III, Contra 3, Ristar and Strider are bad games?

Same thing happened to me. Spyro is still one of my favorites ... I can't believe its been already 10 years since I got it.
I played the MGS demo and I got hooked on it even though I couldn't get past the beginning too.

I liked only a handful of 16 bit games like Killer Instict, Sunset Riders, TMNT 3 and IV, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Smash TV, and a few Mario games. Those were the only ones I really liked. Nothing else was great imo.

Thanks for your assumption but I was born in 1980 and have been gaming since the Commodore 64 and NES and I have played many games. On that note, I really liked Earthworm Jim (had it on the Sega CD) and Mortal Kombat 1 +2 and was completely obsessed with Street Fighter 2.
So, I should have worded it better. So here goes; in my opinion, the 16 bit era had good games but as a whole I did not enjoy the 16 bit era- I enjoyed the NES much more. I also feel the 16 bit era can't compare to the following 32/64 bit era. I'm glad I grew up in through the lower eras though because coming into the 3D world was amazing and that experience can't be topped.
