What weapon is reccomended after

The Drake sword ? Im using it at the moment. Im going into Blighttown. My build is a lil bit of everything. I prefer doing melee but I use ranged as well. What weapon would be best for me ?

Since you are a bit of everything stat scaling isn't going to help very much if at all, so drake sword is a good one to use. I find the jack of all trades characters to be gimped in Dark Souls. After Blighttown you will find the drake sword losing it's oomph. At this point I would make the switch to an elemental weapon unless you dump enough points into something to make use of scaling and even then it would probably be worse than an elemental just because of the low level your probably at. I would say wait until you get the lightning spear and use that for a while. (It's in the place you go after Blighttown). It's a shame you picked up the drake sword because it is a cheap and dominating weapon for the first half of the game. Not to mention looking at a guide pretty much ruins this game, a game made mostly about sense of discovery. But to each his own, I know some people just like to casually play a game instead of pull their hair out.

It's Dark Souls.

I just finished Dark Souls recently,

I went Starting Weapon -> Drake Sword -> Lightning Spear -> Winged Lightning Spear/ Quelaag's Furysword

Served me well.

The lightning spear makes things a LOT easier. You can guard and attack and you can attack in tight spaces AND it has great damage.

Id go with the Claymore (under the Red Dragon), you can upgrade it to +5 for now, and but some items to put it on fire (useful in Blighttown)

i BELIEVE it was in Sen's fortress, by killing a Mimic.

I've used a bunch of weapons. The Astora's Straight Sword was good early on. I also like the Gargoyle Tail Axe upgraded with lightning. Right now I'm using the Gravelord Sword and the Qualagg Fury Sword.

I never liked the Drake Sword It's F-n stupid looking.
