Would you prefer an absolutely incredible game that lasted 6 hours long, or a game that was worth the memories, but not anything incredible but lasted 100 hours?

I like to feel I get my monesy worth so i would have to go with the longer game. This is why I love RPGs. And yes, i have played some mediocre to ok ones in my day. Shining Tears from Sega on the PS2 comes to mind. It was ok, but nothing memorable, however I had like 80 hours into it when I beat it, so I feel I got my moneys worth. Just glad I got it used. Enchanted Arms on the PS3 is another that comes to mind, not the best RPG I've ever played, but I have about 80 hours into it so far Just biding my time til the new Final Fantasy drops, then I'll have both an incredible game and a long game. Had 160 hours into FFX when I finally finished it off.

Incredible and only 6 hours long. I have lots of good games, it's those awesome games that you hope for.

A short but awesome game over a long, not too special one. MW2 was short, but I'm on my second go for the campaign. Where asBad Companywas longer, but I thought it was more forgettable.

Good question. I'd go with the first one, mostly because its often difficult for me to finish games that are extremely lengthy. If a game drags on and on to the point where it becomes tedious, then I start to lose my interest along and move on to something else. Plus, orgasmic rushes are always good. :)

It depends on my mood. I have a hard time staying with a game. I'm one of those people that constantly changes his PC wallpaper and cellphone wallpaper, ringtone, etc. Theoretically, I would prefer a solid, longer game, but many times an awesome and intense game that keeps you in for a short duration can be a sweeter ride.

*sigh* why does this even have to be a choice?? I want an incredible, tight experience that lasts 60 hours....NOW!!!

Really, though, my vote goes to the incredible game experience. There are sooo many games out there, I want to play the best of the best. And Ill never have time to play all the games I want anyway, let alone all the ones that can eat up 100+ hours of time. Moneys worth? I return crappy used games for full refunds and use trading services to make sure I dont take a hit bigger then $5-10 ongames I get bored of.....

Heavenly Sword, MW2, ICO, SotC, Jak 3, Flower, Castlevania SotN, etc etc etc....they may be short games, but Ive replayed all of these and some others at least twice. The incredible experience just sucks me back in for another go the way old-school games did. Remember those? they were beatable in a couple hours, but you just wanted to keep playing 'em.

In contrast, I would never go back and play, say, any FF game a second or third time. ever. Hours of level grinding just to be able to see the progression of the game- a second time?? No thanks.

I hope I never have to spend 100 hours playing a game for the first time. If a game has other good aspects like multiplayer then I don't mind a shorter campaign. However if it is a single player only game and only lasts 6 hours I'd be pretty mad.

That completely depends on the genre and what content it has.

lasts for many hours but the story keeps moving. i dont mind if it goes forever as long as it has a good and hooking story. and of course lets not forget a decent gameplay.

After 30-40 hours, unless I'm at the end, I lose interest pretty quickly. If a game drags on and I'm not having fun, how am I getting my moneys worth? I'd rather buy a game that's 6 hours long and replay the harder difficulties, thus increasing the length to 20+ hours, loving the challenge and game at the same time.

I'd say a game with friendly control, catchy story and standard hours to play for.

As I grow older and time is more scarce, Games that are shorter but provide an amazing experience are much more convenient to me. I honestly don't have any time to play any RPG's or MMORPG's like I used to, spending hundred of hours playing Oblivion or Fallout 3.

I'm definitely for the longer games. I like to feel I get good time out ofa game, and get my money's worth. MMORPGs which go on forever and RPGs which take a long time are very appealing to me. FPS games with campaigns that are quick but good are also okay for me, but if it has multiplayer online play, which goes on with no end, then that's even better ;)
