I think the best year in gaming history so far is 2008 with MGS4 winning the Game of the Year, PS3 Game of the Year along with Best action, graphics, boss fight, GTA IV, Devil May Cry 4, Assassin's Creed, Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, NBA 2k9.

It has everything from sports, action, action-adventure-crime, first person shooter, third person shooter, rpg, horror.

You may want to expand that list with... a lot... of PC Games.

For example, add Company of Heroes and Medieval II: Total War to 2006, Sins of a Solar Empire to 2008, Dawn of War II, Empire: Total War and Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty to 2009, Battlefield 2 to 2005, Max Payne to 2001, Medieval: Total War and No One Lives Forever II to 2002, Homeworld 2 to 2003 (and change Max Payne to Max Payne 2) as well as Rome: Total War to 2004.

That's not even scratching the surface.

Dude, what about Lunar:Eternal Blue for the PS and Super Smash Brosh Melee for the GC. That was only the number one GC game of all-time

I don't know about garbage but I never bothered with it, whereas I've owned all the other DMC's so that says something.

Oh yeah SM64, only paved the way for the entire generation of 3-D platformers as a whole and nearly every modern platformer developer owes a debt of

gratitude to Miytamoto and the game was listed by NG magazine before it even reached the US shores as the best game of all-time, but hey you're right, it sucks.

OH yeah and there's also a small tidbit of SM64 DS, being one the DS's platinum games, with twenty extra stars mand the ability to play as multiple characters

with different abilities but hey you're right they boith suck.
