Like Until Dawn, Heavy Rain, Beyond two souls, Life is strange and the upcoming Detroit: become human where what choices you make has an impact in the story.

I personally love them, hope more developers dive into this concept cause its been successful.

replayability is the problem with these games. i played until dawn once, enjoyed it a lot but don't really have much of a desire to go back to it. maybe on halloween i'll have another go but in general games like that are only worth getting if they're on sale. tlou and the uncharted games suffer from a similar problem although they are a bit less linear so are more replayable

Games haven't interested me personally, so I can't give a valid opinion do any of those games have a demo on PSN?

I relaly liked Heavy Rain and played it loads. Got every ending I think. I'd still play it now if my PS3 wasn't fried.

I played a bit of Life is Strange and it really intrigued me too but the episodic nature of that series isn't for m.e

I'll be buying Detroit unless the reviews are horrendous.

Not my kind of experience (which is weird that I like Adventure PnC games), but it's another genre. And anything that brings more diverse options is welcome.

However I'm not fond when people consider these "superior experiences" to other game genres, with the ideology that; story>gameplay.

The topic of, pure mechanic focused games are inferior to story based games, is an annoying subject.

They are not for me. Also they are not really games.

Second the pick you story element has been making it where player choices are less in the game.

I was almost going to bite until i saw the "interactive movies"

Heavy Rain, Beyond, Life is Strange and Detroit are games not interactive movies.

But i am and always will be a story gamer.

they are not for me . I like challenging Gameplay that gives me a hard time and it's rewarding when I beat it . and also make me want to replay it again . Variety , Customization , strategy ... these are things that make me like a game . being big in scale and scope and having a big world with a lot to explore and discover with open areas for combat is the thing that I like the most .

@Macutchi: Until Dawn is fun to replay. There's plenty of choices to make that will have an impact on the story and eventually the endings. Just minor details can change everything.
