The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Devil May Cry
Sim City 3000
Age of Empires 2
Final Fantasy VII
Mega Man 2
Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
*I couldn't choose one, so I picked the best game in each genre I played that could come to mind*
So hard to pick just one, so here are my top 4:
-Half-Life 2
-Uncharted 2
-GTA San Andreas
-Bioshock 1 & 2 (can't seperate them).
Well, I've said it before and I'll say it again......Tetris DX for the GBC. Great replayability, it's portable.....and hey, it's.......TETRIS. It's as close to perfect as any game will ever come to achieve, for its simplicity (which is what makes it so replayable) is its greatest asset. The only downside is the music is not from the original. Aside from that, it's solid gold gaming, and is the only game I can claim to play on a regular basis since its release in '98. I doubt it will ever be topped.
A very close second is Super Metroid. An amazing experience; it still stands tall and can more than hold its own against the heavyweights of today. It's one of a very select few games I make a point of playing through every few months or so, even though I know every nook and cranny. Incredible atmosphere, created by some of the best music ever found in gaming. It plays flawlessly, has varied levels and enemies, all topped off with an awesome surprise (and somewhat touching) ending. All this=pure gaming nirvana. What more could one ask for? One of Nintendo's brightest moments thus far.
Other notable mentions:
For a long time, it was Knights of the Old Republic. However, Mass Effect 2 is my new favorite game. I love the characters, the story, and the combat. It's a very polished game.
Favorite modern game would be Team Fortress 2. Favorite game I took seriously for the first time was Doom. Game that first got me hooked on the idea of gaming was The Day of the Tentacle back in '93. What a cool game that was, I was totally blown away at the idea of being part of an interactive story.
IMPOSSIBLE TO CHOOSE ONE!!!
MY TOP FIVE:
1) Vagrant Story (PS1)
2) Bahamut Lagoon (Snes)
3) Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1)
4) God of War II (PS2)
5) Final Fantasy IV (GBA)
star ocean 3: till the end of time was AMAZING. gameplay actually wasn't good. But i was so intrested in the story. i still go back to it now :) (on ps2)
I would have to say it's a tie between these three games:
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (I still haven't played MGS4 yet, shame on me).
Halo: CE.
Final Fantasy VII.
