What's the best game you've played in the last 5 years?

just wondering. There are quite a few in the last half of last gen and this gen so far. I liked LA Noire quite a bit.

Dark Souls without a doubt, I've never been sucked into a world like that.

So many good games, the best game to be released (or at least my personal fav) in the last five years for me is either Skyrim or Borderlands 2.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim would be the best game I've played in the last 5 years. But then there's also Batman: Arkham City and Red Dead Redemption.

Tomb Raider 2013 is the best. Followed by Shadow of Mordor maybe.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I`ve always wanted to play a stealth game like that, so i couldn`t believe how great it was when i finally did. It reminded me a lot of Metal Gear, when you were infiltrating Shadow Moses, crawling through vents & all other stuff cool people do.

The most impressive browser game should be Bleach Online.

It's an anime game about Shinigami, very fun!

For me, it's The Last of Us. I've never cared so much about a world or a group of characters before this game, and I've never felt so thrilled by the rush of combat before it either.

Hard to choose just one Dark Souls, Tomb Raider, and Last of Us were all great.

@jdc6305: I'd put Dark Souls and Bloodborne as runners up. Can't decide between the two which I like better.

Batman arkham city, that was something i liked very much..

Mass Effect 2/3. Those 2 got me playing the most and I'm a huge fan of Mass Effect also.

Darksouls my best gaming experience in past 5 years Deus Ex HR is a close second, Dishonoured has to get a mention.

Monster Hunter 4G without a doubt. Easily the best in the series.

Bayonetta 2 and Guacamelee are a close second and third.

Guns of the Patriots is seven years old. .

@RSM-HQ: oh is this games we played that were released within the last 5 years? As I didn't play MGS4 when it first came out . In that case I will stick with Journey.. Bayonetta 2 is 2nd.

MGS4 was a hell-of-a-game, but I imagine the release window is what TC means. Sort of like a poll for what games are actually recent masterpieces.

Tons of great games over this half decade. Though, few get it just right as a game of genius.

I'll assume the latter so my vote goes to Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth 3 (first 2 are great as well)

Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First Sin, been playing it a lot now it's very good (gotta start Bloodbourne)

Probably, Panzer Dragoon Saga even though it's pretty old. Still, I consider it a masterpiece by any generation's standards.

• Batman: Arkham Knight

First one that comes to mind is red dead redemption. absolutely loved it.

Minecraft. Easy.

Hard to choose just one but I would have to go with Alan Wake.

Any and everything from rockstar and naughty dog I would have added bethesda but they are the king of bugs and have caused me many frustrations over the years from the bugs in their games.

Tough question as I've played so many in that timeframe. My mind seems to immediately land on Persona 4 Golden though honestly.

If we aren't counting special editions though(I had admittedly played the original 4 back in 09), then I guess I'd have to say probably Witcher 3.

ragnarok online was the best game ive played. its not going to be good right now tho even if there is still private server running the game.

Overall, it's tie between Skyrim and Borderlands 2 for me.

Dark Souls. I've finished it like 20 times and never once got bored. The only thing I wish I could do is forget everything about the game and play it for the first time again. Such an amazing experience.

Hmm, in the last 5 years so since 2010.

Do not have a favorite, there are a few decent games, LA Noire, CIv V, Mass Effect, Fallout New Vegas.

But no one really stands out.

I'm loving the dark souls votes here. Dark Souls for me, hands down. Followed by RDR, Galaxy 2, Last of Us, Bloodborne

I think mobile games like Angry Birds, Candy Crash Sugar, SimCIty Buildit and New words with friends are always classic. PC games should be World of Warcraft, Diablo 3 and others game from Blizzard!

There are a lot of great games out there, and many of the ones who might have graced this list have gone unplayed in my residence because I've been addicted to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn/Heavensward. I've tried to get away from that game so many times, yet I can't seem to shake it. Definitely the Best MMO out right now.

the last of us , assassin's creed black flag, vanquish, skyrim are some of the best games i played in last five years

Beyond two souls sums it up for me.

Probably a toss up between Skyrim and Bioshock Infinite.
