What's the hardest survival horror game ever?

Hardest I've played was SH3, especially on higher difficulties. But I'm wondering if there's something harder...

Resident Evil. (REmake, available on GC and Wii) It has the stiff item management requirements of the first version of the game, and the added difficulty of the crimson head zombies. I've also heard the first Siren game on PS2 could be pretty brutal.

All the silent hills were a cake walk...

Hmmm, really, Im not sure. Cause once you get used to the whole item management, run away, conserve everything mindset, every RE is easy.

But Resident evil:Code Veronica I thought was the hardest.

i found eternal darkness pretty hard, mainly just trying to keep the damn sanity meter up

RE 3 for me.. :D.. Damn Nemesis.. grr..

For me, it was Haunting Ground. That game is pretty irritating.
