I had the same playing yu-gi-oh. I'm sure I'll have it again. Not a real problem.A guy getting pissed off at me on XBL because I beat him at a game of Uno, no joke.

Playing Halo Reach in an objective game type (can't remember what type it was). Anyway, three members on the other team were part of a clan & were camping an area by climbing up the side of a mountain (almost out of the map) & not helping their team with objectives, basically just playing for kills. Anyway, a few of us grouped up & killed them & I tea-bagged one of them, as you do in Halo :P. He deserved it anyway, they were annoying everyone, us by glitching & their team by not helping.
Anyway, I got sent a message by the guy right before the match ended along the lines of "noob, you suck, look at my K : D ratio" along with a lot of profanity & after the match ended I simply reminded him who won the match & that I wasn't playing to get a good K : D ratio but to help my team capture objectives. After this, all three of the clan members kept messaging me calling me every name under the sun for a good 30 minutes & bagging out my K : D ratio despite the match not being a slayer variant.
I like Halo, but Reach was disappointing & the community annoyed me so much I just ended up selling it. I mean, in another match I got the sniper rifle & had a team mate kill me & take it. I couldn't boot him but my cousin ended up killing him & got booted for it. Some time later I got the sniper again & was killed by the guys friend, also on my team, & I was able to boot him (while the original guy was tea-bagging me..?). Anyway, his friend started sending messages to me about how I suck (I don't get it, the match had only just started & I also top most matches I'm in, whether it be kills in slayer, time in CTH etc) & again sending all this profanity, also sending me messages from the original guy who was speaking to him via headset.
I got fed up & my cousin was waiting for my match to end so when the guy was getting a streak by camping their spawn zone with a sniper I grabbed the scorpion & ended it. Got booted & was sent messages for ages but it was worth it. Things like this will happen in pretty much every competitive online game but shooters really bring out the worst in people. However, i've never gotten hate messages in FIFA 11, everyone seems to compliment each other.
In the old days of having xbox 360, I was playing a guy on Doom and kicking his ass, after a while he left the game so I lost all the kills I needed for an acheivement so I messged him says that was mature. So he voice messaged me back saying he's find me and stab me up, so I messaged him back after Laughing so much saying I don't even live in america (the player was american :P) and he was like I'll come to where you live and stab you up, I was like because you lost a game :P
I'm so glad I dont have xbox anymore as some people are way to serious about it and the pre-teens annoyed the hell out of me :P
Although I have played on Xbox Live just a little bit, the worst experience I can come up with was when I played Perfect Dark Zero with some complete strangers. The guy on there was just being rude and annoying, and he went and flat out said, "Hey Helghast Merc, you suck!" It didn't really bug me much, but the guy was just annoying and was getting on my nerves. I just got fed up with the group and I left. And one time, when I was kicking so much butt on Gears of War, the group kicked me out of their game. I just simply shrugged it off. Heck, I almost forgot about it too until writing about this brought that bit of memory up.
Me on Xbox Live: Hey Guys!
Most guys responses: Ohoho! You are a girl, that means you must be fat and have no life!
And on and on and on it goes.
Oh but the most arguments and such are on Left 4 Dead 2.
Yet another UNO related incident - two guys 'loving' in the match I was in, suffice to say it was tough to explain to my brother why I play xbox live =/
Bad Company 2's lag. It gets so bad sometimes. I know its not my connection either because I have a pretty strong connection and never get lag on any other game.
Getting flashed by a transvestite on UNOAnthrizacks
HAHAH that's so funny!
One night when I was playing RR, was doing mission with my mate, and we had this block that was coming after us all the time with this sniper of his and killed us all the time, found out that he was cheating and reported him, still, enoying
Campers.
"its a strategy", it is not a strategy, its called being afraid to die in a video game, its pathetic, you ruin FPS's, if everyone camped nothing would happen.
Go play something else.
Can't remember any specific incidents. But many times playing Street Fighter 4 or Tekken 6 I'll get hateful messages from people I stomped into the dirt and wasn't afraid to tell them how bad they were.
But the messages they would sent back were borderline manic. Filled with profanity and threats. It's usually in text form as they are almost always too chicken to actually physically SAY these things. Or maybe their mom is in earshot and they would get grounded if they said it.
So I happily report them for sending profane and threatening messages to another XBL user. :D

I personally hate camping/campers. But it is 100% legitimate, and it is a strategy. Its your own damn fault if you run round the same corner 5 times for a vengence kill and get killed every time you try.
anyway, when i first signed up to xbox live i got called a noob for having only 1 xbox live friend... i thought it was quite funny.
In Gran Turismo 5, went into an online lobby and it sounded like the guy was busy rubbing his microphone back and forth across...god only knows what. As soon as I entered he said "Who the hell just teleported in here?" and kicked me out.
WTF?
Probably not the "worst" experience, but definitely the dumbest.
Getting really creepy messages from guys who think I'm a girl -_-; I get them on GS as well on occasion. It's really disturbing.

We have a winner!
Mine are pretty standard; glitch exploiters in Metal Gear Online, people constantly spouting vulgarities and racial slurs, etc.
On the other hand, there was one match where I absolutely tormented a guy in Unreal Tournament 3 shortly after it came out. There were only two of us in the match, and I knew the game a hell of a lot better than him. After maxing my health and armour buffs and building a 12-0 lead, I chased him around the map with the impact hammer to see if I could actually manage to get a kill with it (it's near useless as a weapon). He killed me with about 25 shots, then ragequit out of the match.
I still feel bad about it on occasion, but it was damn entertaining at the time. Haven't done anything like that since though.
I was playing Gears of War 2 online and the match was protect the leader. I was the leader and all my team mates randomly went in different directions trying to get kills instead of working together and actually trying to protect the leader. There was another time when I was having a pretty good match on Uncharted 2 and some guy kept complaining and talking crap because I killed him with a shotgun several times. I've reached a point where I don't even play online games anymore unless it's a co-op deal with some real-life friends.
Beating random people in l4d/2 to the point where they just camp the safe room when they play survivors
I can't even play that game anymore because no one ever uses team work when that's what the entire game is focused on, it's more like race to the finish in smash bros
One time on Black Ops me and my team were just playing normally as you do. Then some 10 year old comes on with his mic on. He decides to talk trash and annoy everyone in the lobby. He frequently uses profanity and makes homophobic remarks. I decide to teach him a lesson and annoy him a little. I then trap him in a corner and tell him I'll let him out if he takes out his mic. He swears at me some more. Then he gets his Dad on the mic and his Dad swears at me telling me that he'll strangle me in my sleep. He takes over the controller then I trap him in a corner. He went beserk.

Wow, I guess we know where these annoying little kids get it from. Their parents are just as bad, if not worse because they should know better.

I know, I told him that he shouldn't be letting his ten year old son on an 18 and allowing him to have his microphone in talking to random people. I probably shouldn't have trapped him in the corner but I didn't think about that at the time. I was just thinking about trying to teach the little punk a lesson.I was playing Texas Hold 'Em and won a pot of like $1,500,000. I had pocket rockets, she had pocket kings, and the flop came up A,A,K. Needless to say, she was PISSED, mostly because after I won I immediately bailed. She left me a message ranting and raving in German for like a minute. I didn't understand any of it, but it was funny as hell to hear. I was going to write back "Ich spreche Deutsch nicht gut. (I don't speak German well)", but she had blocked me.

Probably the people I run into on Halo. I meet a lot of douchebags on there. But I'm so used to it, since I can expect that kind of behavior in every game I play that's similar.
