whats the worst Final Fantasy game you ever played

I always see topics about the best..... well how about the worst final fantasy!

it has to be one of the main games (games like Dirge of Cerberus dont count since its not the RPG style)

say why you didnt like it as well.

my least favourite is FF12 because of the weak storyline and forgettable characters (characters with no character)

so what about you all?

I've played 1,2 on the NES, 7,8 on the PS1, and 3, 4 on the DS.

The worst one by far out of those was 8.

Of the main series, my least favourite was XII. Terrible story and battle system.

If it counts as the main series, FFX-2 would be the worst I have played. I hated the girly story, the stupid singing parts, and didn't like how the whole game felt like a giant sidequest.

I didn't really care much for FFXII either. The story started off very strong, but just seemed to disappear in the second half of the game. The gameplay was pretty boring too.

FFXII, I only had it for about two weeks before trading it in.

I expect to see my favorite game a lot in this thread (VIII)

For me its X-2, if you can count it. If not, its hard to say. Maybe II because of the flawed level up system.

I personally didn't like FF8. The battle system didn't click for me, the story was weak, and I didn't care so much for the characters (I thought they were a little cliche).Yagr_Zero

God I hate you. The characters in FFVIII were Shakespeare compared to seven or nine.

The worst is definately XII. It just lacked any sort of draw for me. I barely managed to get to the first real boss before I just stopped caring.

Final Fantasy II for the actual gameplay, and Final Fantasy VII for the hype.Legendaryscmt
