Out of everything, I say the Playstation controllers feel the most comfortable to me. I also liked the Dreamcast one, but it felt a little heavy at times compared to all the others. I guess that was just from how they set it up for the space of two VMUs.
good ones:
1. Xbox Controller S
2. Xbox 360
3. Nintendo 64
4. Gamecube
5. SNES
-------The sony pad needs to be improved. It isn't terrible, but those dang analog sticks need to be changed already.
The PS1-PS2 controller (better the PS2 since it's black and nicer) i wish they never change this controller it's just classic and everything else feels just weird to my likings.
You're holding the controller wrong then, size 15 ring ringer and been using the controller since the ps1 era and my hands are fine. My favorite controller is the DreamCast, my most comfortable controller would have to be the gamcube.whoever says a sony controller must love having hurting hands when they play. back on topic, my fave is the GCN because its comfortableand the joysticks have the right feel to them. they didnt get loose unlike the sony controller which gets some looseness

And the worst controller was the N64 so big and weird... The NES controllers also rules.Definitely Playstation for me.
Next would be Sega Genesis and then SNES. Xbox and Gamecube feel soooo awkward for me.
PS3
and gamecube controller was only good for mario, zelda, and smash bros (only games on the platform haha) just try playing any virtual console game with them and you'll realise that the A button is too damn big!

My favorite controller has to be the MadCatz MicroCon that was out for the Xbox. Most comfortable controller I ever had. Other than that I would say the PS controller.
To those listing the playstation controllers, you guys really think the analog sticks are superior to the xbox/360 controllers? The one complaint I've had with sony, from day one, were those wretched sticks.
que? Wretched sticks? I love them, ever since the ps1 launch, I have huge hands and it fits perfectly, works flawless and I never broke a single stick. I still have my Playstation 1 controllers from 15 years ago and those sticks work like new.To those listing the playstation controllers, you guys really think the analog sticks are superior to the xbox/360 controllers? Oh, I'm not doubting the quality of Sonys pad, I as well still have working psx dualshocks. My problem is just the way they work for certain games--fps games especially--there is far to much give, imo.
The Gamecube controller, as it feels the most natural to me.
The Xbox S-controller is good as well, but I've always loathed the Dual-Shock. The left analog stick just seems to be in a very awkward position, and even playing a simple racing game will cause my hand to hurt eventually. Out of the older controllers, the N64 controller is terrible due to its horrid analog stick and cheap plastic design. I've only played with the Dreamcast controller once, but it was fine for as far as I can remember.
Its between the Gamecube and Saturn controllers for me, pretty much depending on whether the game I'm playing is 3D or 2D
I also dislike the Dualshock controllers, bad positioned left stick, inaccurate, weighted wrongly, split d-pad that takes the skin off my thumb when I try to do quarter turns, bad shaped protruding side buttons. With the Dualshock you can really tell that the design is based on adding new features to an already created controller, as opposed to the others which were designed from the ground up to incorporate analogue sticks in the first place.
The playstation controller is by far,my favorite. The xbox controller is well designed as well, but it felt how should I say,a little bulky at times while playing for extensive periods of time.
PS3 controller is my favourite. It's the same design as the PS2 controller for the most part but it's got more weight to it than the PS2 did and that helps. It feels like there's something more than air in my hands and I'm not likely to crush it.
I can play my PS3 for hours and not get sore. It's been that way sinse the PS1 and the controller hasn't changed much sinse then. If your hands hurt maybe you just need better hands? :P

At launch the PS1 didnt have sticks. At least not in America. Analog sticks didnt show up until 1997.
