Mine is hitting the button in Left 4 Dead and hearing the scream of hundreds of zombies storming through the forest towards you and your 3 companions. Epicness! How about you guys?

Really? That's your best? Mine would have to be getting a Playstation 2 for Christmas. The graphics for the football games just looked so amazing back then for the first time. SUre, getting m Playstation was awesome too, but I think Playstation 2 was where it was at. In terms of games, probably when I first started playing PC games, and did the mission in the original COD where you are a Russian soldier and have to charge up a hill with your comrade, without a weapon. Pretty insane and awe-inspiring.
Sorry I don't mean to come off as snobby, I just can't believe a game as recent as Left 4 Dead has your best gaming memory.
Building my first PC, followed by Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 - those 2 games I would give a perfect 10.
I'd have to add the first time I started playing WoW. It was like, my second "online game", let alone my first MMO ever. I couldn't believe that it was literally a whole other world with tons of people running around. Too bad that game isn't what it used to be.
My best memory is my first night with my Super Nintendo. I got it with Super Mario World and Legend of Zelda Link to the past. That was my first all nighter gaming session. I got it at around 3pm on a Saturday, rode home with is on my BMX, then played it until about 11am the next day :) Ah those were the days!
When I bought my first PC that had a graphics card vs. integrated graphics, and I booted my first purchased RPG.
Oooh yeah good one. I remember when I first bought my 8 bit Sound Blaster Card so I could hear music in Prince of PErsia. Then I bought POP2... whoa boy did that blow my mind! :)
I still remember playing some war game online on the PC, but I cannot for the life of me remember the name of it. Anyway, I especially remember two games I played there.
One, we were playing this jungle map, on a mode where the aim of the game was to take over all the bases on the map. Thick jungle and a few rivers and houses here and there. We were about to lose the game, when some guy suddenly tried to talk strategy with the rest of the team. We only had one base left, on one edge of the map. The majority of the team was in our base defending, and a small task force, including me, sneaked perfectly around the map and took the base on the other side of the map and worked our way to the other bases, always staying together. The majority of the enemy team respawned at the base closest to ours, so resistance was minimal. In the end, our defense force rushed their base and won the game for us. Epic!
The other one was even more epic. We were playing on the same mode, but this map was big and open, with lots of hills. The game had been going on for a while and was pretty even. Suddenly our whole team got into vehicles and rushed a base that was just on the other side of a hill. We all drove over the hill, and blasted our enemies with mounted weapons on cars, tanks and helicopters. Which was also the base where the majority of the enemy team was. Imagine how it must've looked for them when they looked up at the hill and saw tenfolds of cards, tanks and helicopters rushing over the hill  Like a war movie :P
The thousands of hours in Azeroth just chilling out, questing & listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers, especially in Durotar/Barrens. I spent so much time in WoW, addicted to it, that I gave the account to my brother, got him to change the password & made him promise he wouldn't give it back, but the memories are so awesome that I'm thinking about buying the whole game again, including expansions, to get ready for Cataclysm. Not to raid, but to level up & listen to RHCP again....
Or I could use the cash on a shrink.
I wouldn't say favorite, but it's way up there.
My friend and I were playing Bad Company 2, and the match we were placed into was very unbalanced. It was just the two of us against the entire other team. We decided to stay in the game, so we started to snipe people off, being safe about it, because it was 2 against 10 (or however many can be on one team, I don't remember.)
I ran to a UAV and somehow destroyed an M-Com station, which was cool because the other was destroyed when we joined.
Now, for some reason, we were kicking the enemies ass really hard, us only dying one or two times, and because the other team was was losing THEY were the ones getting new members when people left. My friend and I were cool about it and used actual tactics and such and took down the next set of M-Coms. This is where it got difficult. People were waiting around the M-Coms so we would die pretty fast, since by the time we killed someone and maybe tried to take an M-Com, we would have died our selves and it would have been disarmed.
We played it safe and stayed hidden, since the enemy was using Tanks and A Helicopter. We would snipe some one off, then hide. This lasted a good thirty or so minutes before we waited the enemy down to about 5-6 players, so It was more doable.
We took one of two M-Coms out and suddenly our team got a full list of members, where as the other still had around 5.
All though we used some cheap tactics, we still defeated an ENTIRE team on our own. The match was about 2 and a half hours long. Patience.

I won a random drawing and a got to play Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow a little early. MS and Ubisoft put us up in a Manhattan hotel and we got to meet the devs to train for a spies vs mercs promotional competition. When I think back, many of us thought it'd be unfair, thinking the mercs would wipe the floor with the spies. We were wrong.
We played in a Times Square movie theater against other gamers in an LA theater. Hearing the crowd ooh and aahhh and erupt in cheers when we won our round was awesome.
Mine would be when i was 4 years old, and for christams my dad got me a collecovision with about 10 games. I was so excited and since that day video games have been a huge part of my life.
Loading up a game of Gears of War on xbox live and entering in to a match full Scottish people. Aaaaaah the Weegie accent, cannae beat it. Special to me because I have yet to meet fellow Scotsmen and Scotswomen in any other game apart from people on my friends list. Must just be the way Gears of War's online works
Mine is when I first played Legend of Dragoon, and also when I made it to the ending of the game. I felt so good, to finally complete an rpg. The story of that game was just amazing.
i know how you feel (not finishiing dragoon) but i completed my first rpg when i was about 10 or 11 and it felt really good. especially if its a really good game in general.Mine is when I first played Legend of Dragoon, and also when I made it to the ending of the game. In my first few weeks of having halo 3 me and a few friends were playing custom game called paintball on paintball realm stayed up til 2 on a school night it was the funnest night i have ever had playing a game i cangt believe that was 2 and 1/2 years ago
and when i got my ps2 with kingdom hearts for christmas when i was 7 and i started the game and that amazing opening cutscene that blew my mind such an upgrade from my 64 i think after that i became big gaming fan
There's many, here's a few:
I really can't choose just one. If I HAD to though, it'd probably be Super Metroid.
Buying my first N64 on Halloween of some year or another. Went into town after school having sold my Playstation and bought it from Toys R Us with Mario 64, then played it all evening. Playing Mario 64 was just amazing and playing that and other games on that system probably represents my favourite time in gaming both in terms of single player and 4 player multiplayer.
Getting my first console (a Japanese Mega Drive) for Xmas would be second, and the day I bought my SNES SF2 Turbo bundle would be third.
Favourite in recent memory is playing WoW and got into an Alterac that had been going a while already and we are failing bad, alliance are shouting they need a tank at the boss so I hop on my black bear and off I go. Managed to dodge past an army of horde pushing toward our base some how and carried on the entire map while people kept asking for a tank, Im typing with one hand so I can still run with the mouse and avoid any horde players. Anyway I get to their base and run in while buffing myself up, taunt Drek, he goes down quick, we win and I feel like a hero .
Thats just one from earlier this year though, I mean nothing can compare to playing goldeneye for the first time or watching the intro to FFVII but I don't have a proper story for them :P.
