I'd go for Portal 2 or TF2.
Halflife 1998, because of the impact it had. Nothing like it. Changed FPS.
Halflife 2 is objectively the better game though imo,
Probably just Half-Life 2. Didn't really have a lasting appeal to the other titles on their list (Portal, L4D, CS:Go).
Too bad the company is total shit-fest nowadays.
Half Life 2
Counter Strike back in its heyday
Half Life
Portal (have yet to finish it lol been playing it for years)
@cub: Probably Team Fortress 2 and Portal. Played them quite a lot and got a lot of fun out of both.
Also liked Portal 2 but not as much.
Half Life series didn't really do anything for me. They're not bad games but, very 'ok, moving on' games. When I think of great single-player FPS games; shooters like D00M and Bioshock come to mind. Even the rebooted Shadow Warrior I vastly prefer.
Counter Strike Source because it was the first Valve game I played and the MP is still better than any COD ever made.
@cub:
Left 4 Dead 2.
It had everything I loved Half Life 2 and Left 4 Dead 1 for. It was Valve's perfect masterpiece.
