i intend to beat every single game i enjoy, which is especially hard consider im the kinda guy who can see the good in something ****y

as of now im workin on my ps1 (playin on my vita/psp) collection which is getting bigger and bigger, and considering i own every current console, my log o games is crazy.

so now im trying to to complete a more narrow selection of games instead of just playing any games i feel like and having 30 games going (i still do play a game on impulse, but less often, and i try and go back to my main game so i dont forget what the hell i was doing in said game and cant follow the story)

what are ur thoughts on beating games and if you play to beat em, how do you go about doing it?

I have no methodology right now. I have so many games I don't know where to start. I have about 120 current gen and legacy. My problem is I play for a couple of hours then move on to another. I've have about 30 games I started and another 90 I haven't even touched yet. I started collecting and I just keep buying and buying. I'm so frustrated I haven't even been playing because I don't know what to play.

if I like the game then I'll play untill I complete it before playing any other game. If I dont like the game, I'll usually just quit playing it.

Play 2 or 3 at a time. Try not to start another game or buy new ones until they're finished. Although including 3DS I guess I'm playing 7 or 8 currently.

I always play one game at a time. I like to get immersed in it and just stick with it until It's done. Of course if I don't care for a game I toss it back on the shelf and pick out something more promising. I've got a backlog of games but I don't have any plans to work through it. When I finish one game I just choose the one I'm most interested in and start on that - doesn't matter if some others have been waiting for a lot longer.

I give any game a chance, if it entertains me I'll finish the campaign. If it's especially fun and the trophies / achievements seem challenging but not totally unfair / based on luck / require hours of grinding I usually also go for the platinum.

Everything else get's a second chance later on after I performed the above.

I tend to complete every game I play. I also tend to play games that are the oldest first in my collection and then move forward. There are certain games that I definitely might play before others so I've found that by playing my older games first I avoid having what could become a backlog of less-likable games at the end. I've recently added an amendment that if there is a new "big game" that everyone is playing then I'll jump on that so I can be a part of the current community playing the game. Otherwise, I might end up online with nobody to play with if a game is a few years old and maybe not quite as popular.

It is important to me to play a wide range of titles. The only titles I really don't enjoy are RTS and sports games so I typically avoid those completely. Though I appreciate the strategy in RTS, I just have gotten tired of that genre. Racing sims I'll play but I'm not quite as committed to them as other genres.

I do my research before buying/renting games, so it's rare I'll play a game that I dislike. However, I make sure I beat every game I play, and won't play another game until the one I'm playing is beaten. I have no backlog of games.

I'm always playing lots of games at one time, haha, and I'm the same with TV shows and books. I've always got an enormous backlog, but I still have the ability to just sit down and do a marathon and beat a whole game/series if I really enjoy it (same with TV shows and books, and movie series). I guess I've got an obsessive personality.

I try to get all the trophies but I never used to finish a lot of games until this gen because I always thought if I beat the game I would never play it again.

I will only 100% a game if it's worth my time. I currently have a pile of wii, xbox and ps1 games I'm either finishing or 100%ing. After their done they just go on a shelf to be displayed in my collection and maybe lent out or replayed in the future.

If I like a game I'll play it all the way through, usually within a week or two. If not I usually leave it alone for a while or just trade it back in.

I don't like starting a game and leaving it unfinshed before moving on for a little while, but it happens. I try to get around to beating every game I play at some point or another.

When I had more time, I went up to 3 or maybe 4 games at a time. But I can't do that anymore. I make an effort to finish every game I purchase (meaning complete main story/objective), but I can't play more than 2 at a time these days.

I'm actually pretty good at clearing any backlog I have. I had around 15 at the beginning of the year, but I've managed to knock that down to just one now. I tend to line up my play queue so that I'm playing different genres constantly. For example- the last 5 games I've cleared: Mass Effect 3>Kirby's Epic Yarn>Dark Souls>SSX>Super Mario Galaxy 2

I beat everygame I purchase and the only exceptions to that rule are NG II and Silent Hill The Room. I traded those games in because I didn't care for them. Only games I'll sit through while not enjoying are RPGs because there's usually at least 1-2 things they do well.

I have around 28 games still to beat from the last 2 years, the ones that I do beat or in "priority" are the games/franchises that I buy day 1.

I tend to beat the majority of games that I get. Sometimes I get bored and move to something different though, in which case I most often come back to the game and beat it later.

I try to beat all my games, but sometimes I get bored so I just pick them up some other time.

I have about 20 odd games this gen.

A few of them i've only barely played and not completed.

Yet the two recent games i completed are games i've already completed ages ago or recently.

Bioshock and MP 3 respectively.

I have a few titles like Super Street Fighter 4, Velvet Assassin and Saints Row 3 i've barely touched but i keep getting drawn back to older games i've already done. Suppose thats a sign of a great game.

Lately I've been playing just one game and focusing on beating that and then moving on to the next game.

If I like a game, I'll try to complete it 100%. If I don't, I may or may not play it to the credits

I just play games until I get bored, and then I move on. It doesn't matter to me if I finish them or not.
