What's your guilty pleasure game?

It can be a game that you're ashamed of for playing or one that has bad reviews and you actually agree from an unbiased point of view, but you really like it for some reason :)

I really like Digimon Digital Card Battle - I've never played Digimon World 3 (from where the game originated I believe) but as a kid I've spend hours and hours playing DDCB and getting all the cards. I've even played it recently as an adult and I still love playing it.

What's your guilty pleasure game?

As a guy, I enjoy playing the Hatsune Miku games. They have some great songs.

Senran Kagura Estival Versus, which is also my favourite game on PS4.

I'm not ashamed of any game I play. So I plated Doa Extreme 3 and Senran Kagura PBS, so what?

I didn't mean you should be ashamed, but only if you consider something a guilty pleasure. For example, you like playing something, but you don't really like to talk about it for whatever reason. If someone considers, let's say, Devil May Cry a guilty pleasure because they are surrounded with religious people (bad example but you get it), then they can put that in their comment :)

Fallout New Vegas had pretty bad reviews, but that's because critics are [insert insult here] sometimes. So I suppose thats not a guilty pleasure.

I don't really have a game I am ashamed of playing, my go to games are always Hearthstone, GTA V & Diablo 3.

I someone who mostly plays AAA games I played a lot of Goat Simulator, even postponed some of those AAA games to play more Goat Simulator

Everyone knows I play too many Lewd Anime games like Senran Kagura series, Dead or Alive Extreme Beach series and I rarely play any Hentai games and the only Hentai games I'm playing now is Dark Elf lol.

The Simpsons Wrestling game on the PS1. I understand that it is technically a badly designed game, but I love The Simpsons and I love wrestling so much that my friends and I still have a lot of fun and laughs playing this game.

Dragon Age Inquisition. I actually loved it.

Splatterhouse (ps3 reboot), love that game. It reviewed average to low but aside from some technical issues (framerates dip at times and some screen tearing) it's an insanely fun game, IMO. Plus it has the original arcade game and Genesis sequels included, which I wish more games would do (remakes and reboots that is).

Probably the closest thing I have to that are NHL games.

They are largely recycled year to year, remove features, add the old features back from previous years and call them new... and the cycle never ends.

It would probably be Too Human. I rather enjoyed it.

Watch Dogs but the downgrade still pisses me off.

What I dub a guilty pleasure in gaming is when you know the game plays like garbage but enjoy it anyway.

A few listed just seems many should be ashamed of playing games with colorful female characters, that are designed to be appealing. I personally adore Vocaloid and don't understand how one could find that a guilty pleasure. Fun games, play great, and leave Players happy. But it's likely a regional thing and I know some parts of Europe and US are very sensitive how fictional characters should look and dress. .

Anyway mine are usually gory games that have terrible controls, so to name a few- Manhunt, every Splatterhouse (because they're all terrible really), and Shadow of the Beast Remake (the latter I honestly hate but still getting a kick out the kill animations)

@todddow: I enjoyed DA 3 too, but I don't consider it "Guilty Pleasure" game. It was good game. It had some flaws, but I wonder why you consider it "Guilty Pleasure". (I know some fans of DA 1 dislike DA 2 and 3, but still)

I consider it a guilty pleasure bc it's an EA game and the game itself seems to be hated by so many.

I think this best explains guilty pleasure - If you usually listen to rock or metal and everyone know you're a metalhead, but you also listen to something like Drake from time to time. Nobody is saying there's anything wrong with listening to Drake, but since you usually don't listen to Drake and people would be shocked if they knew, that makes him your guilty pleasure.

If someone doesn't consider it a guilty pleasure I get it, but just saying for those who don't understand someone other's guilty pleasure.

When I'm bored I emulate really old rpgs like Dragon Quest I and play them but never finished one.

I'll be getting HTC Vive whenever Black Friday or Cyber Monday starts. Playing hentai games in 3D is gonna be sweet :3

I'm a 25 year old man who enjoys many of the games Roblox has to offer. Murder Mystery being my go to guilty pleasure.

Just Cause 3

Probably Wet. Graphics and animations are rough, boss battles are nothing but QTE's, soundtrack is full of some awful punk rock, gameplay is like crappy Prince of Persia meets shitty Max Payne. But I like it. In fact while I recognize that Max Payne is a better quality game, I had way more fun playing Wet.

Also Dead or Alive. I think they are really good fighting games. It's just when a character does their post fight pose and the camera positions itself to best show their jiggling cartoon boobs, it makes me feel like the game is rubbing in my face that I'm roughly two decades past the target demographic.

GTAV. It is highly embarrassing to admit that I love such banally mainstream title.

Euro Truck Simulator 2, it's so relaxing :)

The Way of the Samurai franchise is my guilty pleasure. The first game was actually very good, but every game after that was worse except for the 3rd installment which is one of my favorites. The concept is awesome, but these games were never executed well. That being said, their poor execution doesn't stop me from playing them!

I remembered one more - Spore, the last phase, when you're in space. I remember messing around in that part for a long time. I know people said the part in space was the worst part, but I actually speedran through all the previous stuff and then playing the last part for hours.

COD WW2, I just can't pass on playing due to it being WW2 even though it's a bad game all around.

Max Payne 3. Objectively it represents a lot wrong with gaming... Linear as hell, repetitive gameplay. But its gunplay just feels so goddamn good and the dialogue is so interesting I can't help but replay it. I've played through it probably five times.

I guess the entire Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise is the one. I even platt'd some of them.

Revelations 2 is a pretty good Resident Evil game, not sure how that could be considered a guilty pleasure honestly.

Mafia 3 I even wierdly enjoyed the repetitive side quests. Hope we see a sequel at some point. Another is motorstorm on the PS3 even kept hold of my PS3 just to play the series every now and again.

Homefront revolution, everyone hates on it because of the terrible bugs at release, but I love the game. Especially the gameplay.

Haven't played in a while but I used to play a lot of Tenchu. Horribly repetitive with clueless enemies but I always had fun stealth killing everyone.

I used to be ashamed of playing Runescape back in the old days.

In the class i would turn up the game and hide it between the tabs. I knew no one around me played it, but it gave me the most resonating content ever, from the simple complexity of skills and questing to the pvp aspect of the game to which none of other games compared personally. Now that anyone would create such game with many skills, people would call them out as 'runescape clone'.

Other guilty pleasures being GTA 3 and Vice City classics, speed running simpsons hit and run, and some old basement sega games haha

I played Backyard Football on the GameCube more than I'd ever care to admit. Also, I don't ever mention that I enjoy visual novels to people who ever ask what kind of games I like to play. At least, in person anyway.

Even though it is a great game kotor is my guilty pleasure as I have beaten it no joke 155 times.
