Let's make scenario up, can be any game.

Let's focus on battlefield 3 or you can comment on game.

So your playing battlefield with mic or with out, and let's say you shoot 4 guys get lucky with grenade and boom the other teams dead til some one knifes you in back

Do you scream in mic yelling in offensive tone or send message stating things you wouldn't even comment to family member or friend

Or do you just brush the frustration off and continue on.

What happens if your playing as sniper enemy keeps dying over and over from your precisioned kills but instead of the person sending you abusive message they comment: hay your really busting my balls, how do you respond?...... are you abusive egotistical or opologise and have laugh resulting in both having greater amount repsect leading upwards blossoming flower.

Your probably thinking why should i care, i maybe aggressive gamer or fair gamer.... but in end it's just game.

Well simple answer is: we play to have fun, but not every body plays according to rules as we would in real life, so that's understandable but while on pc or console there are features to stop heated arguments or abuse but what happens instead using those features how would you resolve those situations with out them escalating to every one either listening to your argument or non stop message bash resulting who is superior when the real answer is no one.

P.S please be honest there's no shame in telling truth.

Ok to make things even more interesting: please list worst conversations you had and why they escalated to that point, funny ones will be fine or odd ones. recoommend any you tube vidoes if you can on worst conversations listed would love see and here it. as i find them hilarious.

Thanks

I talk trash, if we play Madden, Halo, or Call of Duty, I'm going to jaw at you. It's nothing personal, but maybe vulgar or antagonistic, but at the end I always say good game. Trash talk is fun, two people jawing back ad forth really gets the competitive juices flowing. Sitting online and being silent is so boring that I wish Xbox Live required you to have an open mic because the silence is rediculous. People should stop getting so butt hurt and learn to smack talk back!

Generally, I'm ultra sarchastic, looking for a good time beyond just pwning noobs. Sometimes that gets construed as me being a jerk, but whatever. I usually don't retalliate by words, but won't back down if somebody trashes my game. And if there are claims are baseless, yeah, I troll.

I'm usually pretty chill when playing online but if anyone talks sh!t, I'll talk sh!t right back. Although, sometimes it pretty funny to troll people online, especially little kids who shouldn't be playing the game in the first place.

I just dont even use a mic anymore. Too many years of smack talk have tired my mind. Did anybody use to play Gears Of War 1 online? Back in the day that was the land & origin of smack talk. You could not find more sh*t talkin than on that game.

I cant play a game & talk at the same time anyways. My mind simply cannot do it. As soon as a conversation gets going i start playing badly, plus im i dont go online to socialize or get to know people. I can focus much more & play much better without a mic.

I talk trash sometimes like everyone really but only if I can't kill anything and get annoyed or when a guy blatantly shouldn't have been able to kill me. Most times though if in, say BF3 for example, if I'm on a roof sniping and I get knifed I will say "Nice knife dude". I would never go off on one for nothing

I appreciate goot shots and skills as much as I like doing them myself. I even appreciate trolling sometimes

I don't use a mic, and I don't send messages to others while playing. If someone writes me some rude message, I'll either ignore it or write a smart ass reply back to them and move on...

Gears 3 is pretty tame but on the off chance that I do hop on for some Gears 1 nostalgia, there are still dudes hanging around there talking hella sh!t.

Yea GOW3 isnt bad at all but for some reason the original GOW has the biggest litte b**ch talkin community. I have never been involved in so much verbal warfare in my life. That game still to this day, even years after release still attracts nothing but verbal drama.

I don't always game online, but when I do I prefer Dos Eq....erm I prefer to be natural-polite and respectful. I realize that I am sharing an experience and that I'm not the only one playing the game. I remember one time I was playing Red Dead Redemption online. I was a low-level character because I just started playing online month after it came out. Anyway, I'm getting blasted by the higher-level characters. One would think that these high-level folks would be a bit more considerate by NOT shouting profanity everytime they killed me! I just couldn't believe it. Such an awesome and beautiful game, but the online is ruined not only in this game, but others by people who are ignorant, rude, and vile-that's sad:(

i don't like trash talk.

and usually if i ever put my mic on it's so that i can communicate with my team or squad. I'm way way better at just enjoying the game while cooperating with others.

if it's a 1 vs 1 game. well.. come to think of it, i don't think i've played a 1 vs 1 online game in a long long time. like i'm talking years here.

I do love the cooperative aspects of multiplayer whether it's team objective based shooters like Battlefield, a squad based coordination like in Rainbow Six, or full on simple co-op like in Mass Effect 3.

those online modes i like the most.

most of all i hate the free-for-all multiplayer. I suck on my own, but i do pretty good to awesome in a team.

I agree-I don't like trash talk either. I mean if you're good then you're GOOD and that should stand on its own merit (no need to rub it in or say crazy things like "You got OWNED" or "I OWN you" I'd certainly respect your skills a lot more if you were humble about it instead of some immature megalomaniac. I think this whole "Own-age" or "Pwned" is the worst. Of course I love co-op games like "Resident Evil 5". I think it's safe to say I'm a co-op type who enjoysCo-opPVE instead PVP game types.

If I'm playing online alone I usually don't even have my mic on unless It's a co op game. But sometimes I'll trash talk. But I try and keep it light and trash talk in a way where even the person I'm directing it towards laughs. The problem is most trash talkers just aren't very clever or quick witted, and if you're not clever and try and trash talk then you're just annoying.

Not all trash talk is racism or hateration. It can be fun, you folks are an uptight bunch. You have to learn to relax...

Agreed. Many people don't make any distinction between trash talking and downright harassment anymore.

My actual real life friends tend to get and give the worst of it. Something as minor as getting downed in hoard mode in Gears will usually result in someone yelling "Way to %$&# it up retard You're the worst at everything ever! I hope you and your mother both die horribly!"

I was playing Halo 2 back in the day and the funniest stuff I heard came from that game. I was in a room with random folks running custom games and this guy comes in and says he's going to smoke everyone in the room, then my teammate busts out with "The only thing you going to smoke is your daddies pole tonight" The whole room laughed out loud in unison and then we played a great game. I really miss times like that on Xbox Live.

I play to win but I don't see a point in trash talking. When I communicate, I am letting my teammates know about something (in the heat of battle, sometimes crucial stuff gets missed).

I don't bother with voice communication online. Too much hostility and anger. In the exceedingly rare event that I do decide to talk it up, I'm polite as usual.

I mostly just play racing games online, an I'm well-mannered and respectful to the point where it's a compete joke considering how everyone else acts. And that's why I almost never play online any more.

I'd say im a polite person when it comes to online gaming. It's just other people who do irritating things that piss me off. Like today in SWTOR i was trying to kill some mobs to get to a quest item. But then comes along some idiot who decides to steal the item i was trying to grab, but then leaves me for dead when im clearly in a losing fight!!!

God dam it just thinking about it gets me mad
