I'm fed up with the elevator level! It's literally impossible!! I've tried over and over and over..... and nothing. I got to the 3rd wave once. It's ridiculous!

I got past it on my 3rd or 4th attempt... Its not that hard if you use your magic and make sure to do the execution moves that replenish said magic...

Edit- Also, leveling up the different elemental attacks completely made it a hell of a lot easier than people make it out to be. If I hadnt leveled them up all the way, I probably would be agreeing with you.

I know but I have everything pretty much leveled up and my health gets chewed up on the first wave, even when I use the slow-down magic and my other magic. Man, I can't believe this. Everyone makes it sound so easy but I just can't get through it. And Im only on normal.

Everyone in the first wave gives you magic orbs. So you have 8 magic attacks to play with, plus the four you should've started with.

Use the hades blades and his magic. If you do Square, Square, Triangle... a hand will come out from the ground giving you another hit. Do Square, Square, Square and it will release souls that should keep other enemies occupied.

Do L1+Square whenever you are out in the open and you should be able to buy yourself some more room. L2+Triangle is VERY important too. Spam it as much as you can.

The trick is to leave the first wave with half of your health intact and 3-4 magic bars.

I beat it on my second try on Hard difficulty.  I don't have my elements maxed out and my Blades are second highest form.  Basically I used Fire blades, L1+Triangle, making sure I am at the vertex of the enemies and also R1+square attacks until I see someone about to strike, than R1+Triangle since that makes you invicincible.  Mix it with Magic and you should be good.

The easiest way I found to get passed the Gorgon and Witches were to make sure they were as close to each other as possible, and unload on them using the Lighting magic attack. Like I said, make sure you do the special executions to replace your magic. Same thing on the second wave, and the women release health orbs when you execute them. Last wave is the easiest. You think it would get harder as you go, but nope. Hope it helps you out man. Also, use the time stop and the Shadow Stone as much as possible, keep alternating between the two.

what's the deal with the elevator? is it just too hard for you? or is it glitched to where you keep getting killed by the glitch? I YouTube'd what I think you're talking about, looks doable.

I think this is an indication that the game's difficulty level isn't very well adjusted. Maybe the game needed to be harder more often for the elevator level to not seem like it was broken... We really shouldn't be crying for a patch because a level was too hard... That's when we need to start focusing more on the game and naturally getting better.

What if I only have 2 magic bars?

Then I would say you missed a lot of Phoenix Feathers.
