£35 maximum. When i was using the Xbox 360, i paid at most £30 a year. Didn't really feel i was getting a lot for my money with this, felt a bit ripped off that in order to watch Netflix and NBA (which i subbed for), i had to pay further to access Xbox Live. It changed in it's latter years to include a free game or two (once they cut the paywall to accessing Netflix.
PSN, i've never paid above £33. With it's new rise now, i topped up another year to 2019. Already snapped up a 2nd year through the E3 sales. I quite like PSN, because i have a Vita it's about 4 games a month on average i would get (more 4 in 2013/14, now it's more 2 as a lot i've already got. But it's still worth it, especially when you can get approximately £40 worth of games out of it.
When Sony said PS+ was required for online play in 2013, it didn't bother me as i paid for Xbox Live before so was used to paying for online access. With it going to £50 a year now, unless it's something Sony have in mind to improve the service, even i find £50 hard to swallow.
