you aren't a gamer if you aren't into bioschock right now.

now, might be a slight exaggeration, but basically.

whereas, you can be not into superbad, or bourne ultimatum, or goya's ghost, but still be a film buff.

when will the gaming industry acheive that level of depth? 2012?

Well i couldn't care less about bioshock yet I'v been playing games and owning consoles since the 80's. I think gaming is already broad enough.

its not like i wont get bioshock in the future.. i will eventually..

just cuz i am not hyped abt it doesnt make me less of a gamer. it just goes to say i prefer other genres over fps now. gamings already broad enuf.. just cuz u think bioshocks the center of the world for u right now doesnt mean everybodys center of the worlsd is bioshock lol.

I really hope it never does. I kinda liked it when gaming was more low key. With all this extra media coverage its been receiving, I personally think that its headed for a road of casuals and even more lazyness.

While I agree that the point in the topic is a bit exagerated the one things video games are not is broad. How many "From Yellow to Orange"s(developer) are there, for example?
