No, it doesn't end. The whole point of broken steel was to let you keep playing after you beat the game, they just added a couple more quests in the main storyline just for the hell of it.
That's quite a relief. I really hated the fact that the game doesen't allow you to go on after the "ending" in vanilla Fallout. Besides, this way I can download the other DLC's and not have to start a new character to play them. Thanks.

when Sentinel Lyons asks you if there is anything you need to do before you you continue, thats when your supposed to save...so you dont have to keep creating new characters.
But whats the point with keeping on after playing Broken Steel? Whats left to do after that? Im currently playing the Pitt, and the only things i have left is Point Lookout, the main story and Broken Steel. Well, i'll afford Mothership Zeta when its out of course, but after that theres nothing left. I've roamed every single place possible to reach, i'm already at lvl 30 with 100 in every skill and 9 or 10 in s.p.e.c.i.a.l. stats, i do possess every unique weapon/equipment up to this point. Broken Steel (or maybe Motership Zeta) is the last thing i have to do, and after that .... whats left, seriously?
