2nd hand shops are a good place to look, the reason is that they dont know the value of some games (I got Conker's bad fur day, for £2.50 from a2nd hand shop, when it usually costs£40-£50 on Ebay).
online its mostly Amazon, Ebay or awebsite calledgenkivideogames.co.uk, they only have japanese imports, but for pretty much any system around, from the NES to the PS3 and everything inbetween
I got mine from stores back when they were current. lol. Amazon would probly be a good place to check though.
I'm looking for some good sites to get older games. Just thought I'd see what sites other people use.x-2tha-zStores that are going to sell true classic systems and games are not going to be nation wide. You will have to look in your phone book, search online, or ask around. Then there is a very good chance that there are simply none in your area. The one I use only has 4 stores in Southwestern Pennsylvania. I go there when I just want to buy something in particular, and there prices are always cheaper than Ebay+shipping. If you don't have any stores you can always hit yardsales or flea markets, though at flea markets make sure you are not over paying. Use Ebay and Amazon as the last resort as you will usually over pay for everything by at least $1 or $2.
I like the little guys who have local shops I have 2 near me one never has anything abut one always has something in mint condition everytime I can't pass up
i have a pawn down nearest to me , and i also go to gamestop for ps2 stuff and gc stuff and theres more pawns and used game stores 50 miles west of me , so ya i go there
if i cant find anything im looking for ebay or amazon has them
I used to get my golden oldies from gamestation before it was brought by GAME and turned into another lame clone.
I read a story that they just destroyed the old games that they had in stock. Who knows what rare or hard to find items could've been part of the cull.I used to get my golden oldies from gamestation before it was brought by GAME and turned into another lame clone.

Try looking at stores that sell used movies, music, video games. Stores like that are pretty hard to find usually, but that's your best bet. I know I built up half my video game collection just by buying them used at second-hand stores(if you're ever in the chicagoland area, Disc Replay is the best).

So unbelievably sad...should be a crime! As hot as the used game market is, you'd have thought they could have made a lot of $$ off a large legacy game backstock.
Cash Convertors. Buddy of mine went and bought a dreamcast for $20. It has tons of N64 Games, and all kinds of other fun stuff :)
why do you say that? i mean yes you are usually paying a little bit more but you can find literally ANYTHING you need on ebay. I agree with the last resort comments on ebay or for the sheer easiness but i myself wouldnt go as far to say i would never buy on there. I know i have gotten some things on ebay that i would NEVER be able to find on craigslist, garage sales or flea markets.craigslist and garage sales.
As a former Seller on ebay, with 1800 Positives (no negs, no neutrals), i will not buy anything on eBay.

Theres this site trademe.co.nz however it will only be useful if you live in New Zealand like me. Also theres this pawn shop downtown which sometimes has some good deals, I found Mortal Kombat 4 there for $15.00. I dont know about the areas like USA and Japan but the PAL version of this game is pretty rare and i have never seen another PAL version of Mortal Kombat 4.
