I wasn considering buying a portable console (PSP or DS). I just don't know if I am "mobile" enough. I was curious about you guys who own a PSP or a DS. Where do you usually play it? In the bus? Airport? How much time does it really take? I feel like I will get it and end up playing at home which would be tough because the screen is so small. When I am out, i am out with friends, and I don't think i will have time to play.

Care to share some of your use cases? I am really interested to know. Thanks

I don't ever really play it in public. But the games on the DS are really fun and are a change up so i play them at home on the toilet and stuff. Or just hanging around on the couch. I also take it with when i go on vacation so i have something to do in the car and stuff.

As for how long it takes, that is strictly up to the game. A game like LoZ:PHG you could probably play for a really long time. BUt games like Mario KArt could be over in minutes. It's all up to you.

And i would also like to add that i love my DS.

When I had a PSP I used to play it on the couch. But I soon got bored of that.

I bought it to play at home.. when im traveling, or during break time at work.

There is nothing wrong with getting it to play at home. I get bored, play it for 30 minutes then come back to it a few weeks later.

Toilet, definitely. Otherwise, I only play on handhelds when I'm spending a few nights away from home.

I usually play it either when I'm a passenger on a long trip in a car or on my bed. I use to take my GBA to uni and play games there, but what ended up happening was that everyone would want a go.(Mario Golf Advance was a HUGE favourite with everyone) We use to play in class as well until after an assignment only one person passed it and the lecturer got really mad. He banned us from playing it in class. Up to that point he didn't mind.Which was unfair for me as I was the one who passed the assignment. (69%)

I play my DS at home in my bed or on the couch, at my friends place when he plays WoW, in long bus rides and at my grandmas and grandpas place. I play it mostly at home and i dont find it is actually really comfortable to be able lie on the couch or on the bed while playing. The screen size doesn't bother me, but if it really bothers you then you could buy a PSP. The screen is really big. I think the next psp version can be connected to a tv and use the tv as a screen, so maybe that's something for you.

I don't really play games on the move much. On an everyday/ every week level I don't play on the move at all. I only play when I'm on a very long journey or am staying away from home. So I've just got Tekken: Dark Ressurection for the small amount of time I play my PSP (I'm going on a few holidays soon). It's the first game I've bought for it scince Janurary of last year. If you don't play much it proberbly isn't worth t, but it is a huge bonus on long trips and time away from home. Plus, from your avatar I'm guessing yo are a metal gear fan, on PSP you get to play Portable Ops. As far as DS goes it is something different so you may play at home more with it, but it can be hard to play on the move, as vibrations make it hard to hold the stylus steady

I play my DS pretty much anywhere. On the couch, on the john, in the bed, in the tree.

Anywhere that I can sit I will play it.

I play my DS all the time at home. In fact it is the only thing I am playing right now and the only system I will be playing//buying games for when I head off to school this fall. The dorms at my school are just too damn small for me to take everything I own so I leave my consoles etc. stored away at my parents.

I usually play my handhelds at home. I can't play them in buses because I get motion sickness but at the same time, I don't have that problem while playing on the train. I personally don't play my handhelds outside just because of this reason. If I'm not on a bus, I'm usually out with my fiance or at work.

I don't think I've played any portable systems outside of my home ever (well, a couple car rides). I don't buy the systems for the mobile ability, I like the selection of games that are put out on them. Plus, it's nice being able to watch TV and play some games at the same time.

I've played my PSP while on the toilet. (not joking). I'd play it at work while on lunch break, but it;s only a half hour. Not enough time to really get into a game.

I play my DS or PSP on campus in the cafeteria, at Barnes and Noble taking a break from work, at work when there's a lot of downtime, and long rides when I'm not driving. I hardly ever play my portables in the house.

Oh, I wouldn't say that. Elite Beat Agents is three, maybe four times better than everything else combined, tops.

I usually play it while I watch TV so I can do both at the same time more easily than playing my console.

I also try and play outside so I can get some sun. Except now that it's summer... tis a little hot.My fingers just melt to the buttons!
