I used to be a die hard GS shopper but ever since late last year ive been hardcore on Amazon. the prices are better and i dont have to deal with fanboyish opinions. also the prereleased games you usually get a 20 dollar credit for reserving fames which i can use to buy another used game! :D so its almost like buy 1 get 1 free. Amazon is so awesome!

With my schedule it's sometimes impossible to get things on-time when I order them online. So I either just shop at GS, or download them off Steam.

Gamestop. I know the manager and he treats me right. Plus Wal-Mart & Best Buy don't really have the knowledge needed to advise me on the games I like.

Gamespot if they have any pre-order bonus that Amazon doesn't, otherwise I would go to Amazon if they have a better price then Gamespot. Gamespot if it's the same price as I might as well get the game ASAP.

I'm the old-fashioned type who likes a physical case and media. Best Buy, Walmart, or any military exchange.

I usually buy from Futureshop, only place around here that even has a good selection of games, there is no Gamestop, or any game store here. Future Shop is the best place for any electronics here, and they have a pretty good selection.

Half.com has people selling games for cheap when you can't find them on eBay.

i agree with you. the only time i go to gamestop is when the prices are the same or better (which is rare). might as well get the game asap. 9 times outta 10 though if im reserving a game im doing it through amazon.

I do this as well. I enjoy the Gamestop atmosphere. Also, I read my GI so I shop at other places as well.

Amazon is the best, but Gamestop.com has been really awesome as of late. They have some pretty killer discounts and deals. You can get newer games for cheap.

I like going to Gamestop for the same reason I like going to comic shops - the conversation. Its nice going into an establishment and being able to talk to almost everyone because you know they share your interests. You don't have to agree with everyone, but its nice to hear different opinions.

Heck, it's like a real life forum! Only you can actually understand the sarcasm!

I used to go to the local Gamestation in my area however since I have moved I have found it easier to either buy my games from Amazon or Ebay. It depends which site has the cheaper game :)

Oddly enough, I've been doing a lot of my shopping at Toys R' Us. They have been running some truly excellent deals all through this year while places like Best Buy merely advertise the SRP.

Toys R' Us also now accepts trade-ins and their site actually allows you to get the value before you even take it down to the store.

I also still use Gamestop quite a bit because I know the staff and I'm treated well.

Austin, Tx I thought there was a decent chance it wasn't, but maybe it's an Austin thing. Either way, I freaking love that place. And I'm sure someone could find something similar near them.

We have Half Price Books in Minnesota as well - I do believe that they are a national chain trying to masquerade as a local shop.

I absolutely love Amazon you can really find some amazing deals on any game depending on what day you look for example L4d2 was $26.99 the other day and Mass Effect 2 has been $38.99, not to mention Bad Company 2 at $47.99 (Bioshock 2 is $46.00 right now as well)along with many other great deals other than that I may buy some old games I can't find elsewhere at Gamestop and Target has a decent amount of platinum hits for $19.99.
