Video game music, most of the time, is awesome. It's in my top five genres.

depends on the song. alot of video game music i'd prefer over actual "radio" music. the final fantasy crystal theme is awesome, as is the solo guitar "old snake" from mgs4. i really liked ar tonelico's mixture of classical and techno/electronic, it was really what kept me playing the first game.

1. The National 2. Bear McCreary (Battlestar Galactica soundtracks/everything else he does) 3. My other favourite bands 4. Video game/movie soundtracks

Not that I enjoy it the least, but I have my priorities first.

Depends. In the past video game music consisted of not-so-subtle 'generic electro-pop tune on loop' but some of it, most notably in recent years has been fantastic.

I do enjoy video game music and occasionally get a song stuck in my head, but I don't usually listen to game music unless I'm actually playing a game.

There arent many VGM tracks in my iPod, outside of Machinariums OST, HotD: OK ost and maybe a few licensed tracks (or some DJ hero mixes which are hybrids or licensed and the creative work of a DJ). So it'll be somewhere near the bottom. I personally think VGM belongs in the game as if I ever want to listen to it, i'd do so for nostalgia to capture that very moment.

Well, its before rap and hip hop, every other genre comes before it though. Video game music is generally not made to be just listened to, its for creating ambience and immersion.

I have some vocal video game themes on my MP3 player, but most video game music isn't stuff I'd listen to outside of the game.

While I don't have any on my iPod or anything like that, I do have the occasional urge to listen to it on Youtube.
