Where have all the good PC games gone?!! What's with all the crap coming out today!!!!!

Well if things go smoothly with all the great kickstarter games finally releasing to completion and with alot of flourishing Early Access programs (Cherry-pick the bad all you want, but there are awesome Early Access developments going on), PC gaming will be better than it has ever been with long lost genres typically found on PC in the past coming back. There are plenty of great games releasing on the platform - easily being the most out of the active handhelds and consoles on the market.

tbh i don`t know why people are praising pc gaming so much, the best games are obviously on consoles, all i see on pc are kickstarter/indie games.

Well, the kickstarter/indie games frequently do things better than the mainstream titles. Plus the PC has all of the best versions of many console titles. And the PC has a ton of exclusive niche titles that offer depth of gameplay that is typically far beyond what the console exclusives have to offer.

Or perhaps people aren't praising the great quality of many PC games, and are instead praising the PC for having the biggest quantity of great games? Because, seriously, great games come out on the PC pretty much every week of the year.

There you have it bill gates was right! PC is still the best gaming platform! you have emulators,best graphics,mods,better controls,free online and tons of exclusives namely indie games and adventure&RPG games.

Suck on that Console fanboys!

@Planeforger: I disagree, huge AAA mainstream titles has great story, voice acting, animation, gameplay, graphics etc... Kickstarter/Indie games usually only has great graphics and some good gameplay, alot of them seems really buggy and choppy to me at least.

The popularity of consoles and the casual gamers who use them is why we have all of these dumbed-down and cookie-cutter games now. Yeah, that makes me sound like a PC Elitist but I used to be a console gamer as well until I realized there just wasn't any challenge to be found there. The moment they started adding things like "aim-assist" to most FPS console games, that was the end for me.

Anyway, now developers design most FPS games with the casual console gamer in mind so this is what we are stuck with at the moment.

are you the same type of person that says "there is no good new music anymore" because I'm going to have to disagree with you pc games statement. its unfair to say theres no good pc games. thats like only watching hollywood movies and saying why isnt anyone in the world making good movies. or only listening to kiss 108 and saying music has gone to crap. I agree with ByShop, you need to be a little more specific. No PC games with good storylines? Music? Interesting character design? Thats a discussion more worth having.

Sorry, I meant that it was the type of topic that encourage posts about how PC is the best system and/or how PC is suffering because of consoles.

It didn't take long for the posts about how the PC the best and it the console fault it is hurting.

I dont know how you came to that conclusion, but that wasnt my intention.

There are great games on PC surfacing from different and traditional development programs and at different levels of production levels from AAA to indie games.

I'm enjoying PC gaming more than ever before.

Both PC and console for me. Just not much in the way of indie games.

I usually prefer console games, but PC games are far from declining.

Above are just some examples. Some on consoles, and others not. But I never understand the war between systems. PC has some great games, Xbox One has some great ones, and so does the PS4.

Either way keep the nasty indie games away from me. Still bogles my mind how in the world some of them get ratings that rival games such as The Last of Us. Flower might be good, but rated up there with The Last of Us...really?!?!
