I'm in Australia, and really want another NES to feed my retro desires. I've been scoping eBay, but a lot of them seem to be dodgey, or missing pieces. Does anyone know of a place that sells them refurbished or something? I did find one place, but their online store is down. http://www.classicnintendo.com.au/refurbished-nintendo-entertainment-systems-nes/ Has anyone used them?

75% of the time, the problem with NES consoles is the 72-pin connector. You can get brand-new ones from eBay quite affordably. You can install them yourself, or you can usually find some modder guy on Craigslist locally to do it for you (at least I can on my local Craigslist). So I would buy a eBay NES, then just repair that 72-pin connector if I were you.

What Emerald said.

I recently had to replace my 72 pin connector. I bought it off eBay for around $7 and replaced it myself which took me around 10-15 minutes. My system has been working like new ever since.

NES systems are pretty much built to last forever if you take care of them. Like everyone is saying the pin connector will go bad but it's easy to replace.

Where to buy one in Australia? Sorry can't help, never been there.
