It is basically sitting there watching a worse version of the show with dated graphics and all you do is quick time events. I thought it was well established that quick time events aren't fun? Why do they still exist? I don't get why it looks so bad as well, I mean they could have pre rendered it all and had it look really amazing since you don't actually interact with the world in the slightest.

Again, where is the Gameplay? I could just go and watch the show and get the same experience of sitting there watching something, only without the hassle of quick time events.

What has happened to the adventure game genre? It used to be good and required some effort of thought with the puzzles. Monkey Island 1&2 are on my top 10 list of favorite games of all time, I don't get how we've gone backwards 20+ years on.

I for one enjoyed both past classics such as Monkey Island 1-3, Kings Quest & LBA as well as your more modern point & clicks like The Walking Dead. Surely in this day and age you could have foreseen what the overall concept of the game would be like before you buy it or play it? I fail to grasp how so many people can't get a good feel of a game via all the 'lets play' style clips and reviews before and after release. So unaware.

Did you do any research before buying the game? The developer is well-known for that style of adventure game.

The gameplay comes from the interaction with the narrative.

It is TellTale game. They do little to nothing with game play and instead focus more interactive story.

They make interactive stories and not games.

I have no problem with QTE's myself and I played The Wolf Among Us, which is another one of Tell Tales games and found it to be quite enjoyable. I do very much enjoy the whole Game of Thrones scenario so chances are high that I'd very much enjoy this game as well.

I knew some would come in and complain over Telltale making a Telltale game.

So next time perhaps do some research on what a Telltale is.

heh. well they are called Telltale games, 'tell' 'tale'

They basically just take other people's IPs and stories and turn them into semi-interactive experiences, right?

They also didn't make the Monkey Island games. They made Tales of Monkey Island, which I can only assume is a less-adventury version of Monkey Island.

Beats me how they've been around for 10 years at this point, but hey, people seem to like their takes on other people's stuff.

@gajbutler: And while we are on the topic, why does Katy Perry only do pop songs? I was looking forward to some hardcore deathmetal from her last album and I was sorely dissapointed.

if you play a telltale game with expectations of deep gameplay your doing it wrong, Telltale games focus far more on the story and how your interactions with the world and characters affect it.

Have you been in a Coma since 1995 ? How can you play a game and be surprised of its content, in today's age you don't have to blindly spend on money games you have no knowledge of.

Probably but the only one lying is you. But it in end it doesn´t really matter what you think it is, i will still enjoy playing telltale games.

Have you not played Telltale games? They mostly revolve around stories mate...

1st of all, To have fun is not always the point of this medium....

2ndly, Its not a game at all (let alone an Adventure game) so they can do whatever they want, QTEs, Akward Camera angles, etc, you name it... Anything goes.

I feel like consumers today intentionally buy games just to get on their soapbox.
