Gamestop and EB will only give you $30 for a fat PS2 and a little more for a slim so its not worth it. I say post it up on Craigslist for like $100 with a few games and you'll sell it in a few days.
Although I don't reconmend trading it in, try selling it on ebay or like at a slackers or something. DO NOT trade it to gamestop they gave my friend about $20 for his fat ps2 without any games no joke.

You could trade in your PS2 now, along with all your games and chances are you wouldn't even get enough store credit for a couple of new 360 games. when you look back on it in a few years you will wish you had kept it, even if you barely play it.
People that say you will regret it speak from experience. We've all sold stuff we wish we had kept.
Mine broke almost a year or two ago but I have a 360. I disagree with the people who say you will regret selling it. The only games Ive ever wanted to play on it again was was guitar hear and metal gear soild.
No No No selling a ps2 is the worst mistake ever. it was one of the greatest ever consoles, besides why do u want 20 quid, wrap it up nicely put it in a box and stick it in the attic/loft. in 20 years time go back to it and think, yeh, thats mine, i played on that, and play on it, you will enjoy playing on something 20 years old :d
Man dont sell it or trade it in. I sold my ps2 about a year ago and I have just bought one again about a week ago. I have a 360 too and it isnt a fun as a ps2
Ugh... Nothing irks more more than people who think "well itz olde I don't kneed it lol!".
Just because you have an Xbox 360, doesn't mean that you need to get rid of your Playstation 2, or that you should get rid of your Playstation 2. You cannot play Playstation 2 games on your Xbox 360.
