I've been here for 12 years...12 years! I love it here, but today, I think I've reached my limit. This new layout of the website is just absolutely horrible. The ad bar on the bottom, every single article on the same page, having to click on a separate button to open up the discussion on the bottom of the article. Whoever thought this up is crazy and/or evil, and the same goes for the people that approved it. Damnit, damn damn damn.

Agreed. GS might not be perfect, but I like the site in general and I've meant some pretty cool people here. Most of whom I'm friends with on the PSN and XBL.
What GS really needs is for users to go to the feedback section and give feedback. Not make random comments in the comments sections of news articles or start threads in GD sections that may not be seen. Moreover, the feedback can't be "this site sux now" or "this is just IGNSpot". Nothing like that is meaningful to the developers of GS - they need constructive feedback on WHAT aspect "sux", and WHAT alternative you liked better or would like to see.
I'm not defending the new layout of the news feed or anything, but just talking straight here: random complaints scattered around the nether-regions of the site aren't going to get heard except by other users and mods (who can't do anything about it), and are thus unlikely to be addressed. If people want to help make GS a better place they have to use the feedback section and have to give specific constructive comments for the devs to work with. There's a sticky feedback thread specifically for the news feed comments redesign - that's a good place to start. I can assure you the admins aren't trying to make this a place people dislike - they want it to be a fun active site.
