Where would 2001 rank in video game history?

2001 was one of the best years for gaming. All the great games that came out for all the consoles.

Final Fantasy 10, MGS 2, GTA 3, Gran Turismo 3, Devil May Cry, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Pikmin, Halo, Twisted Metal Black, Project Gotham Racing, Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2, Mario Kart Super Circuit, Conker, Onimusha, Operation Flashpoint, Ico, Silent Hill 2, Jak and Daxter, Max Payne, Sonic, Red Faction, Advance Wars, etc.

I would rank it #1 or 2 on my list. What about you?

Yeah 2001 was great.But 2003 and 2004 was also both great years for Gaming.K1LLR3175

then 2000-2001- perfect dark timesplitters halo gt 3 pgr mgs2 is 2

2008 would be 3

ssbb mariokart wii , saints row 2 cod5 quantum of solace, wii fit wario land shake it , wwe 2009 , etc

the worst would be 2002

aside from timesplitters not much action

other then operation flashpoint and Max payne not a single PC game?...st1ka

Well, let's not forget that 2001 saw the release of 3 major video game platforms: The Game Boy Advance, The GameCube, and The Xbox.

So, at the very least, one must agree that 2001 was an important year in video game history.

Good games, but nah. Max Payne was definitely an uplifting moment, but PC wasn't that great in 2001. I wouldn't call 2001 the best, but it is definitely up there in the top 3 or 4 years.
