These are my favourite GG games :
Star Wars for the Game Gear is decent, as is World Series Baseball, Mortal Kombat, and Super Off-Road.
Star Wars for Game Gear is terrible. It's barely playable! Who wants to play as Princess Leia even if it was good?Star Wars for the Game Gear is decent, as is World Series Baseball, Mortal Kombat, and Super Off-Road.

I dunno, I thought it was OK. Its hard, kinda cheap, but not too unlike the Super Star Wars games for SNES.
the problem is a lot of the games he mentioned were not launched outside JapanYou should follow Panzer_Zwei's advice. :P

But from what I've played out of what he mentioned, those games are pretty good. He's a retro game expert.

still, it's kind of hard to recommend a JRPG when it hasn't been released outside Japan, meaning it's completly in Japanese[QUOTE="E-123Wario54"][QUOTE="ohthemanatee"] the problem is a lot of the games he mentioned were not launched outside Japanohthemanatee

People can rave all they want about Japanese games, but what good are they if you can't read Japanese?Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Batman Forever, and some platformer about bears that are flying a plane on the cover which I can't remember the names of. Those were the only Game Gear games I had :P (passed down from a relative a long time ago)
Never was a huge fan of the Game Gear compared to other consoles, but somehow, I've always got stuck with it. When I was a little kid, I was dumb enough to ask for it instead of a genesis because I thought I would be cooler portable. Now, I got Sonic Adventure DX for the PC and I'm like dang -- this comes with 12 game gear games; lets check them out.
.
So Game Gear is like is like the evil stepchild game system that I always get stuck with.
.
Anyways, the best games I've played for the GG are:
- Mortal Kombat (Almost as good as the arcade: A real rarity in quality for the GG)
- Sonic 1, 2, Chaos, and Tripple.
- Mean Bean Machine (Poor graphics, but truely unique and challenging Tetris-Like gameplay)
- Columns (I only played the Genesis version of this Tetris-Like game, but I am sure it's good for the GG)
.
