The SNES for sure. I had it when I was younger and have many good memories with it. Super mario all stars was a great compilation of the Mario Games I used to play so much on the NES except revamped with renewed graphics and also coming with Super Mario World. Donkey Kong Country 2 with Diddy Kong, my favorite one out of the trilogy. Also that game Battletoads, I remember co-oping that game a lot with my friend and the fun it brought. Mega Man X, my favorite Mega Man game was awesome, unfortunately the series is starting to die. Many more great games were on that system and it brought a lot of fun and memories
Hands down the SNES! way too many good memories playing on that system. hhhmmmm, as i remember my dogs chewing through the cords on the controller as well.....gggrrrrr....but none-the-less, great system!
Call me crazy, I'd go with the TG16. It was my first console, and I still like playing Tiger Road and Raiden on it. The Genesis was good too, but I never saw the appeal in the SNES aside from the Super Mario Worlds and Donkey Kong Countrys. =/
Ok I am going to be different, I love the Genesis, I love the SNES, but I gotta give some love to the TG16 because I think it was just as good as those other two consoles, for its own right.. there are so many Niche games and great forgotten classics: Legendary Axe, the Bonk Games, Lord of Thunder, Ys Books 1 and 2, the Valis games, Blazing Lazers, among many many others. Cannot Forget the great line up in Japan on the TG16 counterpart PCE, alot of great import games for that console, infact its an import gamers dream come true.
Although i have never played any of those systems i still voted for snes because i have Super Metroid, and Secret of Mana on virtual console and love them, I have The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past on gba and love it, and have see gameplay of Secret of Evermore. Earthbound, Actraiser, and Shadowrun and i really want to play them.
That poll is painfully missing the NES (and Sega Master System for that matter). NES was arguably the greatest system of it's era, and it's not up there! So I chose SNES. SNES had better quality games anyways. But NES had a much more massive selection of games and I played it a lot more due to that.
I haven't played many SNES games; Super Mario World, Super Mario RPG, Super Castlevania, and Super Metroid; but I have to say Genisis was a bit more fun to me. I like the synthesized music and Sonic games are still my faves.
Don't get me wrong, there were PLENTY of great games on the Genesis, and many that I still regret getting rid of the console for till now. Not to mention some great memories... such as how my brother and I were able to bond so well with the help of Streets of Rage 2. But even so, The SNES was simply the winner of this generation for so many more reasons. With Mario All Stars and Mario World combined, it had the best of Mario, and also easily had the first game that I felt was truly perfect in every way - Super Metroid. And though I didn't appreciate them until late in its lifespan, it did have arguably many of the most memorable RPG's in its generation, and all combined.
i have to say dreamcast, i would roll wit n64 due to all those great wrestling games, but i have a soft spot for dreamcast..........ahhh tha demo disk wit sega swirl and tha jurassic 5 music video......:? i miss it
Sega Genesis for me. It's hard to compare Super Mario Bros 3 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles... In my opinion Sonic is better. There are more good games in SNES than Genesis, but I prefer SEGA. Alex Kidd, Sonic 3 and Kirby are my favorites games. But is very hard to compare two awesome oldschool consoles.
SNES without a doubt, that system had some of the best games EVER! A link to the past, super mario world, super metroid, super mario RPG, donkey kong country and so many more made the system amazing.
Its a hard choice between the SNES and Genesis but i think im going to have to go witht the Genesis cos i grew up playing with my good friend Sonic on it.
surely I will go for super nintendo this is my favourate one .these are some good games that i like most for super nintendo Super Mario World, all of the Donkey Kong Country games, Yoshi's Island, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario Kart,
